I bought this as a gift for a child who loves dragons, for Christmas. It is a fun game and he loves it!

We are huge fans of Haba in my family and dragons 🐉 too. This game is sturdy and well made like all Haba products. The game itself is very creative and fun. I actually request playing it with my son who is 6 and autistic. He loves it! It goes very fast so he can even get his 11 and 16 year old siblings to play without hassle. I love the amount of creativity that can be added to the narrative of most Haba games and this one is no exception. For just my one son and I to play, it takes about 5-8 minutes per game. He can set up everything himself aside from adding the gems 💎 to the ice tunnel ring tower. That takes coordination- unless you want to wait for your kiddo to go one gem at a time. There is more than one way to play the game. One way is shorter and for younger kids like mine and one is more strategy based instead of luck. All ways are fun and it’s a refreshing mashup of classics like Jenga meets Kerplunk with German craftsmanship! Haba games are illustrated EVERYWHERE in great detail. The holographic areas on the wooden “Daddy” dragon are a nice touch. Each younger dragon the players choose as a pawn are ADORABLE! The box is extra sturdy like all Haba games. 10/10 reccomend for all kids in all genders once you can trust they will not choke on the gems. Personally, with my kids I’d allow supervised play at aged 3-4 and would expect they could set up and play alone by age 5. I think most kids under 10 will enjoy this quick but creative game.

We got this for a 4 1/2 year old. He really likes!! He likes all the different pieces he can hold and move. Easy to set up and understand:)

For the kids, I am sure this is a five star. They take the strategy of picking colors seriously and it is fun to tuck the gems into the dragon caves. The changes I would make are from an adult POV. You don't see the gems in thier caves and amassing them is half the fun. I keep mine on the table in front of me...maybe if the board were made of plexiglass "ice"? Then it might get scratched, so for myself, the caves are good for motor function, but less fun. My biggest grioe is that the dragons are in totally different style illustration than the board, which is super pretty. The dragons are goofy, cheap cartoons in comparison. If I am playing a pretty simple game for kids, I prefer it to be great to look at. I am thinking of replacing them with some 3d dragon figures.

Would recommend to families of varying ages. My kids (6 & 4) and both of us parents enjoyed this simple game. Plus it's educational and easy to learn. The pieces are quality and colorful. I will be buying it again as a gift.

I bought this game for my 3 year old granddaughter, and she loved it.

It's fun!

The game is fairly simple where you guess which gems are going to fall and make a claim for that colour. At the end, you count up the gems you've collected and see if you've won! My daughter (5) loves it and we play it multiple times a week.

Ein wirklich, schönes und kurzweiliges Spiel in gewohnter Haba Qualität mit viel Liebe zu Detail, nicht nur für kleine Drachenfans! Das Spiel vermittelt optimal erstes Regelverständnis, fördert logisches Denken, Zählen und die Feinmotorik. Hier kommt das Drachenthema besonders gut an und auch die Tatsache, dass eine Spielrunde gerade mal 10 Minuten dauert und somit auch was für kleine Kinder ist, die sich noch nicht lange konzentrieren können. Die Funkelsteine werden gerne zweckentfremdet und fantasievoll in andere Spielsituationen integriert. Es gibt das Spiel auch klein und kompakt in der Reisevariante, das begleitet uns derzeit überall hin (Urlaub, Restaurant,...).

Bought this game for my 4 year old dragon loving daughter. It is simple to learn and she's excitedly taught all her grandparents and a 6 year old friend how to play (who also enjoyed it). She loves playing with the gemstones and melting the ice with the daddy dragon. It's a quick one, so we usually play a couple of rounds.
