Plain English and Friendly!
Ron Klinger writes just as though he were a friend talking to you. He likes bridge, he likes you, he wants you to be a better player. He wants everyone to be a better and happier player. A very handy paperback which should appeal to all players who would like to do just that little bit better. An excellent gift. Highly Recommended.

Quite advance Bridge techniques
I am a quite average 'club player' standard, so I found many of these conventions to be new to me.

Stimulating.
Ron Klinger is, perhaps, the most respected of all bridge teachers via books. Usually his books are weighty in all senses. He is nothing if not thorough, but there is little of the sparkle that enlivens Andrew Robson's contributions for example. Unlike what might be regarded as his standard text books requiring patience and the working through of countless exercises, this slimmer volume covers far more ground and in a much more stimulating way. This is great for the average club player, who has settled into a routine of play, relying on the well rehearsed and sound conventions he/she might well have acquired from Mr Klinger in the first place, albeit quite some years ago. We are introduced to a whole array of new possibilities from The Drury Convention to Negative Free Bids and far beyond. It is a joy to dip in , and again unlike the more solid introductory books this one invites dipping. It is sure to prove a delight to many players looking for some fresh input into their play.
