The media could not be loaded.  Throughout my college career I had a scooter to get to class quickly and to avoid wasting time. When electric scooters came out, I was more than excited. I got tired of paying for Birds and other scooters that required an app to setup and credit card on file. Also, with Covid I’ve become much more paranoid about germs and using scooters that tons of people touched. This is when I decided to put the situation into my own hand, I looked up purchasing a used bird or electric scooter for myself and my family. Upon researching into it I began to see the limitations, for instance many of those scooters don’t fold meaning you can’t take them with you on far trips to the beach to ride around or when you are on vacation. Thus, my search for the perfect scooter began. After looking around, I heard great things about Joyor being a decent, affordable, and portable scooter. I bought one and have been enjoying rides around my neighborhood since.The Joyor scooter has airless tires which makes them super sturdy to drive over cracks and not get flats or in need of constant air (the manual says try to avoid holes more than 3cms/1inch) . The tires look like honeycombs and are great. It has a solid application that tells you great information on your previous trips, what speed you are going, battery life, and I believe lets you lock your scooter. You can adjust it in the setting from automatic start or kick to start. I don’t trust myself kicking to start the scooter, so I just put it on automatic. There are 3 speeds, slow, normal, and fast. I prefer the normal speed-- overall rides are SMOOTH. When pushing the gas on the right side, it adjusts by how hard you push it and how long you hold it down so it’s almost like driving a car. The brakes are personally what I liked the most. It’s very smooth and predictable and most importantly responsive. There’s an e-brake function on the back tire for emergency stops – which I haven’t had to use.The Joyor Scooter was ready out of the box. It only has two screws that you use an Allen wrench (provided) to lock in. It folds easily and you can snap it into the back tire to pick it up and move around with. You can fold it and take it up stairs or put it in your trunk for adventures at the beach or travel. It’s only about 20 pounds if you have to carry it. My only qualms are that it’s not waterproof cause of the battery. So, I wouldn’t leave it out in the rain if you can help it. Also, the manual encourages you to space out recharging the battery after usage for one hour, to help it preserve the battery integrity. The bell on the scooter is a nice addition and works well, the LED lighting is adjustable in the apps and is great for nighttime adventures. Living in a crowded city with tandem parking makes this scooter great for small errands or just to feel the wind in your face. Overall, it’s a great scooter and my family loves it.

Head light stopped working immediately, seat does not stay up, handlebars don't stay up, does not go 24 MPH, has A random loose blue wire connected to nothing. Does not handle any form of bumps well (including the little connections in the sidewalk) so there is no where to safely ride it. Side walks are too bumpy, the roads are too bumpy, grass slows it down and skids,, tires wear done way too fast and causes skidding and slipping. Seat is way to uncomfortable. The head light (when it did work) was not bright enough to see anything. Never folded up, will not latch when folded. Once trying to fold it, it would not latch to keep the handle up right to actually ride it. It had to be repaired to even ride it. I already sent the first one back because the throttle came with stripped screws so the throttle didn't even work. So 2 attempts and both faulty. But wasn't allowed to send the second one back...

The media could not be loaded.  We decided to try out this JOYOR Electric Scooter and It works flawlessly. It is super fast, does well and is easily to maneuver.The battery lasts a long time. It goes up to 23.5 mph, I know it says 15.5 mph, but goes over that way over. It holds up to 265lbs.It’s sturdy construction made this e-scooter very safe to drive, my kids and husband are been enjoying it for over a month, they ride every day and take turns, you can download the JOYOR S2 app, none of them haven’t use the app yet, we may use eventually if we take it on a trip since you can lock the scooter and no one will be able to start it.It has front and rear dual brake system. Disc braking and anti-lock braking dual system are safe and responsive even in short distance. Comes equipped with ultra-bright headlights, just double click to switch on/off light system, including bright headlights and ambience lights and warning tail lights, great if you use this during night.Very easy to assemble since comes mostly ready to ride it, just place the handle bar into the post with the included screws and tool and voila ready for your fun ride.Also make sure to unplug the scooter from charging when the light goes green so it doesn't overcharge and damage the battery. It is a little expensive but I think it is a fairly good value. We highly recommended.

It was a little challenge to assemble it and put it together with the provided very basic instructions. I could finally assemble it by contacting the customer service using WhatsApp , sharing photos and numerous text message exchanges over WhatsApp. The instructions are not very detailed at all.But once it is assembled, it it works perfectly and meets my expectation. It's a nice scooter to have. My only suggestion to the company is to improve on the user manual with more detailed assembly instructions than what it is now.
