Generally well made.
I'm a perfectionist, who tends to think that if a thing has been quite well done, one ought to try to bring it closer to excellence. These are nice "anchors" though I think of them as "augers." As long-term anchors in a wet climate, these would probably fail. Steel corrodes. They are also imperfect as augers, and there are too many of them. One good auger will do.I had a project that involved digging a fairly deep hole for a 4x4 post. The post would have a lot of imbalanced stress upon it, and I was unable to make it satisfactorily deep using a post-hole shovel and a digging bar. But I was reluctant to go to an equipment rental place to rent a big gas-powered post-hole digger for just one hole. Then I saw these "anchors."The leading edge of the anchor spiral is blunt. Using an angle grinder, I sharpened it. The bottom point was just an angle cut. I tried to make it more like a screw point.Using it to auger earth deeply was complicated. The anchor shaft has a nice hex head, that a socket will fit on, but the shaft of the auger isn't by itself long enough. If a socket is put upon the auger shaft with a socket extension bar, using an ordinary 3/8" system, the far end of the extension won't fit within the head of a 1/2" drill chuck, much less a 3/8" drill chuck.I got around that by using a couple of much weaker 1/4" extensions, the heads of which could fit within a 1/2" drill chuck. They were amply strong for the task.My narrow but sharpened auger eagerly dove into the earth. I was then able to use a digging bar, and my long arm, buried to the shoulder, to extract enough soil and rock for my needs.

Heavy Duty and Versatile!
Excellent 6-pack of anchors. These are very durable and heavy-duty. I was able to easily insert them into the ground using a drill. The ground I was able to use these in is not soft by any means. This is the first time I was able to get an anchor into it. I honestly didn't think these were going to work as these are quite large and the ground is very tough and rocky. However, much to my surprise these went in with ease. Great quality and a great value!

Great Idea, but Only One Installation Method Worked for Me
I purchased these anchors to secure a sunshade in my driveway, and they proved effective for that purpose. Despite the product page illustrating three different installation methods, only the first method worked for me. This involved using a metal pipe to slowly screw the anchor into the ground. I attempted to use power tools, but on semi-rocky terrain, it caused too many unpredictable movements that could easily damage the tool. The material quality is good, and I believe this will be a durable solution once securely installed. However, it’s worth noting that in many scenarios, this may require some elbow grease, and the installation may not be as elegant as illustrated on the product page.Overall, it offers great value for money, as without these anchors, I wouldn’t have been able to complete my project.

Great for many things including drilling holes
When I saw this set of anchors, I thought it was an auger set. Well, it actually can be used that way. I am putting up shepherds hooks to attach my outdoor lights to. I have an auger, but it’s just too big and makes holes more for fence posts. I needed a smaller size that would make the hole just big enough to fit a smaller piece of metal into it, and these worked great. I just had to attach the included drill bit to my drill, then the anchor, and it worked like a charm. And now I still have these in case I go camping and want to anchor my tarps in the ground. This set also comes with round tops that a rope will go through. You can use one to tie your dog leash to when outside and your dog isn’t going anywhere. I love this set. I will be using it for years and years to come. These are made very well and are so strong. They won’t bend. Solid metal. Get a set and put it in your car. You never know when it might come in handy. I’m going to get a set for my son for Christmas. He camps, has four dogs and he will be delighted when he opens his present. This set has everything you need. It worked great with my drill.

Easy to use, solid ground-anchor
I've been using half-inch rebar as stakes to secure some shade-cloth canopies in my backyard, but rebar inevitably has jagged places that can injure. These augered stakes work well, and in two ways.First, they do go quite a ways into the soil driven only by a cordless drill (the included 11 mm nutdriver works well here, thanks). To be sure, a lot depends on your soil -- or on the rocks and roots below the surface. I tried placing this 18" anchor two or three times and only got it about halfway in, stopped by something fairly solid down deep. So, on a fourth try, I drilled the anchor into place until it stopped, then switched to my half-inch drive socket set. With a bit of added muscle, the socket enabled me to continue screwing the anchor until the top was flush with the ground (per my photo). I don't know if the anchor was damaged by the extra force, but it seems to be holding well.Second, the threaded 8 mm x 1.25 mm eyebolt is also a nice touch, because it not only accepts all kinds of hooks or ropes or clips, it also presents a rounded and thus a fairly safe projection. I don't know how rust-resistant these anchors are, but for now this seems like an excellent solution.
