The batteries do not last! The door knob drains the battery. I have to change the battery and I only installed it 3 weeks ago.THIS IS AN UPDATED REVIEW OF THIS DOOR KNOB!!! DO NOT PURCHASE!!! THE WARRANTY IS NOT REAL! IF YOU HAVE A PROBLEM WITH THE DOORKNOB OR IT STOPS WORKING, THE SELLER DOES NOT GRANT USAGE OF THE FAKE WARRANTY! YOU CAN CONTACT CUSTOMER SERVICE BUT THE SELLER WILL REROUTE YOU BACK TO AMAZON AND THEN AMAZON PASSES YOU BACK TO THE SELLER AND YOU START THE PROCESS OVER AND OVER UNTIL YOU REALIZE THAT YOU HAVE JUST BEEN SCAMMED. IT TOOK 3 ATTEMPTS FOR ME TO FIND OUT. ANYWAY, THATS MONEY AND TIME LOST FOR ME...I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THIS SELLER AGAIN AND I RECOMMEND TO PASS THIS ITEM AND TRY A MORE REPUTABLE SELLER! or better yet...go to the home depot or ace hardware or lowes!!!

The door knob was easy to put together and saved the fingerprints well and seems to scan them well. Other reviews reported that it stopped working quickly, but I haven't had it long enough to confirm if that is the same with mine. Doorknob looks nice and seems to function as it's supposed to. Hopefully it lasts a long time!

Worked great for a month, then it didn’t…changed batteries but still won’t work. Just beeps and beeps. Now outside of return window so basically stuck with a regular doorknob because I finally just took out the batteries to make it semi-functional. Not worth the money.

I ordered this for my “she shed”. It was easy to program as well as install. I normally use the deadbolts with codes - but my she shed door did not have a deadbolt hole - so I chose this little gem! It works PERFECT! If you need access with no finger print - gently lift the “cap” and turn to expose the key hole. Perfect addition to my security, great value for the money- highlyRecommend

Packaging is great, instructions crystal clear, feels durable, it even comes with screwdrivers and a ruler. The here is no planned space for the wiring and it does get pinched throwing off the fit. There is no slack in the wiring to install batteries and if you pull slightly the wire does not go back in which prevents closing the doorknob cap. You can either secure the doorknob or the battery enclosure, not both.Additionally, the thumbprint reader beeps loudly when touched which I don’t want my bedroom doorknob to do. I am giving one star on everything because it doesn’t even install so the other ratings are not even possible.

The product is a bio-metric doorknob and installation hardware.Installing this was not as easy as placing a new doorknob on door - seemed not to fit. Easy enough, though, for a handy person to fix up, I just filed down some protruding shards on the shaft and, viola, as they say, done. Now. The doorknob actually works on a variety of prints - we tried three - and seems to do so quite well on an interior office door. Note, of course, this knob isn't going to stop a determined thief by any means, but it will stop snoopy brothers-in-law from finding the <expensive> III cognac. I found the access piece a bit tricky until I performed the event a few times, like everything else, a bit of finesse is required...but that, too, is a bit of a deterrent.All in all for what it is, and I would never install this on an exterior door (both cold and heat here in Texas militate against pushing one's luck in weather) but for securing an interior space - this works well. The price point isn't all that much higher than an ordinary door knob and, as I wander at night and need to get into this room, but also keep it secure 24x7, this is an excellent solution to having to drag keys about.
