The size (quite a large diameter, with somewhat low sides--but nowhere near as low as a fry/saute pan) is ideal for everyday cooking. I use it pretty much daily, whether I'm cooking vegetables, steaming pasta, making dumplings, or anything else. I have some difficulty with my hands and elbows, which can make heavier Le Creuset pots difficult to wash. This one has the trademark Le Creuset heft--and excellence--but is more manageable for me. I highly recommend it.
