Great gift!
This is the first lego kit my 7 year old has done. He absolutely loved putting it together. It was a little challenging, but not so challenging that he couldn't do it. It's design and build is perfect enough for him to play with and not worry about it falling apart right away.

Technic set has it all
This set is great... its simple to build, includes gears, spring, and some some good universal pieces (like fenders). We had fun building this set and playing with it. Then, we tore it apart and had good pieces to let our imagination run wild.
