Good for inter change knitting.

I find love these needles like old friends and I have only had the deluxe Symfonie set for a week.I agree with what the other reviewers say about the smaller pins but what the description and the reviews do not say is that two short pins fit on all the cables not just the 40cm one.When short pins are fitted on the cable that with the normal pins measures 60cm for example the cable will measure 55 / 56cm which is 21 / 22" just the right length for knitting a toddler's sweater in the round or the back and two fronts of a child's cardigan.One lady on a review of Nova needles mentioned that she had damaged the pattern on some needles of her Symfonie set by using metal markers on the needle.Check out the Knit Pro SOFT marking rings you can buy. These are not the ones like a C clip.These packs are marked SOFT RINGS and are complete rings made of something like silicone that I pop on every 20 sts when casting on. They are very thin so take hardly any space between stitches and are manufactured in three sizes - two sizes in each pack. I knit a couple of rows after casting on and in doing so I just flick the lightweight ring over from the left needle on to the right hand needle then remove them all once my knitting is properly underway. I can keep one ring at each side to show where the seam edges of the sweater would have been. Reaching armholes I then mark centre back and centre front with a ring each. They are very light and they bend.Identical rings are on sale (same colours too) and these look exactly the same but these are HARD RINGS made of plastic so you can feel them when they get near your fingers. They don't say that these are HARD RINGS on the pack it just says RINGS so if you want the SOFT RINGS for use with Symfonie needles or while casting on or ordinary knitting make sure you get the ones that say SOFT RINGS.I use the Hard rings when knitting Aran as their hardness signals to my fingers a pattern is coming up. Not sure if the HARD RINGS would scrape the pattern on the Symfonie needle or needle tips but I shall not be risking it.Hope this helps.

Love Knitpro, your yarn glides along the needle, making it easier and quicker to knit. Great value for money, as you can change to different size cable.

These are my favourite needles, however I was surprised to find these are 10cm in length rather than the 13cm standard KnitPro length. This isn’t mentioned in the item description.

... but that is exactly why I bought them, so I’m happy. I find these shorter tips work better with 40cm and 50cm cables.But, beware. If you want the longer interchangeables DON’T buy any that have ‘Special’ in the title description, because that basically translates to short.The photo (if I can upload it correctly) compares these tips with the standard length ones. The actual length of these special tips is about 3.25” - it seems to me the product sizing guide supplies the overall packaging dimensions, which imho is about as useful as a chocolate fireguard but there you go.Hopefully this helps anyone looking for standard length tips.Now I’ve covered length: I love the KnitPro Symfonie range in general. Pretty to look at, high quality and lovely to use. Never disappoints.

I needed a shorter set of needles to be able to finish sleeves in the round for a jumper I was knitting. These arrived quickly and were good. Unfortunately within about a day, one of the needles splintered at the tip (which in my experience is very unusual for a knitpro needle). The seller was really quick to issue with me a new set, so I can't fault the service. Still only managed to knit one sleeve so far though! 😂

Love these shorter interchangeable circular needles. So often I am knitting a top down sweater and struggling to knit on a short cable (necessary at the beginning) the length of these needles means extra give and less need to stretch the knitting.My fingers don't leave the needle when wrapping the yarn , but I have found no problem with the length of the needle at all.Very comfortable to knit withRecommended
