Palicomp Gaming PC Review
After a few years I decided it was time to buy a gaming PC while leaving my old PC for my mum to use since she wanted an upgrade as well. I spent many months, possibly even a year trying to find the best PC including high performance parts for the best price. I was put off the idea of building my own PC since it seems very technical and complicated after watching people on YouTube build PC’s for themselves. So, I decided to get a pre-built PC to get started off with however, in the future I would be interested in building my OWN gaming PC. I’ve been looking for a cheap gaming PC that has an INTEL i7 processor or higher that can handle high resolution such as 4K when playing games. Then I found this PALICOMP Gaming PC. I went for the ‘16GB 2133Mhz – 240GB SSD – 2TB HDD – WIN 10’ so that I get the full experience for when playing games. I’ve had this PALICOMP GAMING PC since the end of November (2018) as an early Christmas present and I think I’ve experienced everything that this machine has to offer. When the PC arrived, I was super excited! It arrived within 3-5 days after placing an order which I thought was very quick since I heard Gaming PC’s take a few weeks to arrive, but that could just be from other websites that sell them. It arrived in a big square cardboard box that surprisingly could fit through the door and when I opened the box, the PC was very well protected with mini boxes and bubble wrap so that it wouldn’t get damaged during delivery. I was surprised how big the PC was since my original PC was literally half the size of my new one. The PC itself looks really cool! Especially in a dark room when the LED fan is spinning at the front. The LED fan only stays as one color (blue) and you are not able to change the colour unfortunately. However, I AM planning on installing LED lights to the interior to make the PC look even better. It has an extremely fast start up time and from my estimates, it takes 3-5 seconds to start up which is super quick! The PC is super quiet and you can never really hear the fan unless you have no sound in your room at all.The one disappointment for me was that before I bought this PC, I noticed the graphics card description says: ‘INTEL HD 4K/1080p DVI/ HDMI’. Now what I got from that, was that this PC could handle playing games in 4K and 1080P easily which I was really excited about. However, I was very disappointed to find out that when I loaded a game, it could barely run 1080P. Payday 2 was a game that could run at 1080P but not that well, however very few games that I played could run 1080P since the games would lag and respond on the screen very slowly, however the majority of the games I played, for example Euro Truck Simulator 2 Demo, H1Z1, Mafia 2 Demo, Battlefield 1, etc, could only run properly at 720P which was very disappointing. I will either be changing the graphics card to Nvidia since I heard they are one of the best or the other option would be in a few years I would have hopefully saved up enough money to buy an even better one from ‘Gladiator PC’. My third option would be to build my own PC from scratch which I would be quite excited about since I’ve never built a PC before. So overall, I give this PC an 4.3/5. I think the price of £775 was very good. It looks really cool with the design and also the LED’s. The PC itself is very fast apart from when you play games which you could improve by turning the quality down to 720P. I definitely recommend this product to anyone that wants to start PC gaming for the first time to get a decent experience however if you ARE looking for a cheap PC that could run 4K gaming, I suggest looking for a different PC.

Low quality case
I have been working as a project manager of an IT maintenance service company since 2009 and have been supplying repair/maintenance services to companies in London.I have found some pros and cons on these products/purchase and I hope it helps buyers when purchasing the item.Pros.1. Very Fast dispatch2. Computer itself is very fast. Genuine intel i7 8700 (not 8700k) processor.3. I do not play games. So, for me, having just the integrated graphic for lower price was completely ok.Cons.1. CASE PROBLEM : I have an external hard drive (2.5", IODD case with 320GB samsung hard drive to be used as a virtual ODDs). I have never had any power problem on this device with any other desktops' front USB port. But with this case and another one which came with i7-8700 from the same company, my external 2.5" hard drive does not work due to the low power issue. It is caused by the low quality cables between the Front USB port and the motherboard. The front USB ports and the cables connected to these are part of the case, therefore, the problem belongs to the case quality. The front USB ports should be connected with better grade cables to deliver higher amount of current. I believe that the cases are custom branded and the brand owner should be aware of that problem and make some improvement on the next batch order.2. The hard drive is a traditional hard drive and it is such slow especially for this type of high spec PC. I experienced huge bottle-neck effect solely coming from the hard drive. Memory and Processor usage was being very low but my PC was such slow and I found that the hard drive usage was 100% for looooong time. After replacing the cooling system, it is very stable with low temp and it always shows overall processor freq. of 4.25-4.35 GHz.Overall, as a workstation for office use, I believe this is still good purchase. The processing power of my old PC was approx. 35 based on my way of calculation and this one shows 160. So, it is definitely worth the money if you do not play games but require super fast PC for your general work. Also, it is super powerful if you run VMs with Hyper V on Windows 10 Pro.I would like to give 3 stars due to the usb port issues and unstable motherboard when pushing the CPU usage to above 90% for long period.

A Configurable powerful Stylish Silent PC
Needed to replace my custom-built Lian-Li ATX Desktop PC after 6 years, which had reach the end of his configurable life so after much research I went for this base PALICOMP Gaming PC, though will not be used for gaming use.My option was the 16GB i7 8700 3.2Ghz with the latest Coffee Lake CPU and big enough to be easily configurable to transfer SSD & HDDs from my current PC.It has the requisite 5.25" Drive Bays (2 of) for my Blu-ray drive (though did come with a ASUS DVD-RW Drive) as most gaming cases don't and was not in a blackpool illuminated style case! As it was being used in the living room, it has to be a quiet design, which it is, with a fan only just heard when there is no other noise in the room. This basic PC was easily configurable and as bought with no OS, got a OEM License for 64bit Windows Pro for £5 from Amazon Marketplace. (Saves over £100 off the cost if bought with OS. Remember you need to download and install onto a 16Gb USB Drive the Windows Install Software). The ASUS Prime H310M-A Motherboard is enough currently with 4 SATA-6G ports. Also impressed that with only 2 DIMM Slots that PALICOMP put in a 16GB DIMM so can easily add another to bring it up to a massive 32GB if needed.Their Customer Service is very good, if you need to use it and had courtesy call that it had been dispatched

Great custom PC.
Needed to upgrade from a 2012 PC it wasn't quite up to the task. Decided to not get it with Windows 10 pre-installed. I can install OS myself. This model great for video editing and converting and running my virtual machines.
