Developed Wrist Pin Play and Engine Knock after an Hour of Run Time
I've installed several of these kits on Bayou 300 4x4 engines. Regardless of the brand they all seem to come from the same supplier. I've had good luck until now. This kit sounded and ran great after installation. After about an hour of run time it developed an knock or slap in the upper end. I ordered another kit from another supplier and did the swap. The cylinder and piston looked good, but the problem was the wrist pin and piston had developed play thus causing the engine noise. It's a lot of work to install one of these kits. I wasn't too happy, but at this price point a bad one every once in a while is to be expected.
