Installs quickly and seems to work well. Switching on/off takes a little getting used to but it is a good solution with a great cost if you are looking to add some form of "optics" without having to modify your 1911 frame. Grips are comfortable.

I got this as a birthday gift for my boyfriend and he loves it. It was spot on and the laser has great quality.

I've been waiting for a good alternative for my 1911. So far this is the best design for a laser on this gun I've seen. It is beautiful and you really have to try it to appreciate how well it fit the comfortability of the grip and the ease of installation. So far it's held true as can be. I couldn't expect more from this and I only wish I had another 1911 to use these on.

I purchased this laser sight for a CO2 replica full size 1911 (Springfield Armory). I have old eyes and can choose to see the sight reasonably clearly or the target...not both. Seniors will understand that comment. The laser sight takes care of that problem entirely. I now can see the green dot clearly on the target so my shooting pattern tightened up dramatically.I found the install to be very straight forward and easy. Sighting in was not difficult at all.So far, I have had no issues with the laser staying locked in position. Others have indicated problems in that area. It could be because this is on a BB gun with light recoil on the blowback function.The on/off switch takes a little effort to get used to but works fine so far. It has to be somewhat firm to operate, as it is directly involved with your hand grip and would be constantly cycling on and off while shooting, if not.It is a very reasonable price compared to alternatives for 1911's. I definitely would recommend this sight for, at least, CO2 BB guns with no accessory rails.UPDATE:I purchased a second identical 1911 CO2 BB gun and also purchased a second identical Darkfang Laser Grip. Did not have a good experience with this one. After installing and trying to align the sight, I had a problem with the laser cutting off when I tried to adjust the vertical position on the gun. I could not get the sight set in a usable position and keep the laser functioning...had to return it and decided not to re-buy. I am still satisfied with the performance of the initially purchased one and it continues to perform just fine.

These were a perfect fit and work great! They were easy to assemble and attach to my weapon. The grips came with new mounting screws, charging cable, two allen head wrenches, and easy to read instructions.

I bought the green laser. Installed it on a 1911A1 in .45 ACP. It came with batteries and a tiny allen wrench for aim-point adjustment. Installation was easy, fit was as good as stock grips (and I do not have an ambidextrous safety). Sadly, I could not use it (I compete in USPSA pistol shooting as a hobby). The unit I got comes with a switch activated by gripping the pistol. But unlike the CTC laser (which has a momentary switch action - the laser is on only while you grip the pistol), this unit is squeeze once to turn on - squeeze again and it turns off. So my draw and aim for the 1st shot turned the laser on - but the recoil impulse would typically turn the unit off. So for my 2nd shot I had to release my grip, then re-squeeze befor the laser would turn back on. I ended up switching the unit off and used my iron sites for the rest of the match. When I got home I removed this product, returned it to its box, and ordered the CTC green laser. I guess I got what I paid for...

These grips look great and the green laser is good, easy to control with a little practice, highly recommend for a SS handgun.

On/off switch is improperly located between your fingers on the front strap. Regardless of how tightly I grip the gun, the location of the switch creates a situation where your finger pressure will cause the laser to intermittently turn off while shooting. Also, the charge cable/port seems unique so the tiny 6 inch charge cable it came with is all you will ever have. Gave it 2 stars because it's inexpensive, looks decent and the laser seems bright.
