Replaces the original perfectly

I needed a new grill and didn't bother to read the description for this one. I thought it was just cast iron, so I went to town on it with my wire grill brush after my first cookout. To its benefit, the porcelain doesn't seem to be damaged, but I thought I'd put that out there in case anyone else doesn't read thoroughly like me.As for the grate itself, it looks fantastic compared to my old rusty one, which had gotten pitted. I live in a humid environment, so it's difficult to keep cast iron from degrading. In that respect, I'm pleasantly surprised to learn that that's probably not going to be an issue with this one, with that ceramic coating.It took it a little longer to heat up than my old grate, and the char lines were not as clear as with my old one, but it still cooked cleanly and evenly and performed admirably. I'm still trying to figure out the cleanup. I used to just brush my old grate; I might consider actually washing these grates after each use. There weren't any care instructions included, so I'm not sure what to do as far as that goes. It released my steaks, but I don't think it was completely nonstick since burned-on juices were left behind.

Very nice grill grate. It replaces the original that went bad.

Gotta do a better job with the ol' Q200 keeping her clean and this is the ticket I think
