Absorbs fast, not greasy.
I like the cream better than the ointment but both are good. I keep on hand for cuts and scrapes or my dry, cracked fingers in winter. I apply after a moisturizer overnight while I sleep to help heal. What I like also is it does not burn and takes discomfort away. Good value size. Helps heal faster than only using bandaid.

Helpful Combo for Minor Cuts and Scrapes
This Neosporin Dual Action cream is a really convenient version to keep in the first aid kit. It combines the familiar antibiotic ointment with maximum-strength pain relief, which makes it especially useful for minor cuts, scrapes, and small burns. The cream texture spreads easily and absorbs well without feeling overly greasy. It stays in place nicely under a bandage and doesn’t have a strong smell. The added pain relief component is a nice bonus when dealing with tender spots that are a little more uncomfortable than usual. The 1 oz tube is compact but lasts a long time since you only need a small amount per use. It’s easy to toss into a travel bag or keep in a drawer for quick access. Overall, this is a practical, dual-purpose first aid option that’s great to have on hand for everyday minor injuries. Simple, effective, and convenient.

Great price & product
This is definitely a must have for cuts, scrapes or cat scratches. You don't need much and is simple & easy to use. It lasts awhile and I apply a few times a day when needed. I have used it on my cat(can be used on dogs too) but ONLY the original ointment. You aren't supposed to use anything with pain relief in it. The price is really good, especially the 2 pack for $17.78. I buy it enough that I know this is usually just over $19. CVS wants $12.99 an ounce. So two ounces for $17.95 is a great deal imo.. I always keep some on hand I prefer the cream. The original has the consistency of Vaseline. So I prefer the cream more, but do have both. I would definitely recommend it.

Years of Expierience, Perfect for the Little Pains
I've been using Neosporin for ages. It's always worked well for the little cuts and scrapes and even the occasional mosquito bite. I'm certain small cuts heal faster with Neosporin than without. Got a sting, scratch, splinter this is worth it.
