The returns process was quick and easy, though, and it gave me an opportunity to size up to an 8.5. The size 8 wasn't really too small (I normally wear an 8, and the shoe fit just fine), but I'm wearing the shoes to an outdoor music festival, so I wanted to ensure good coverage on the bottoms of my feet as I'm outside walking around.The shoe style is really cute, but I have to agree with others that taking them on and off is a PAIN. The zipper stops just above the heel, so it's impossible to slip your foot out of the shoe without loosening the laces at the ankle...which means loosening the laces all the way up to the top, too. On top of that, if you don't have stick thin legs, the laces may seem a bit short--especially if you're trying to leave a little wiggle room, as the suede laces have NO stretch.However, I have a tip for those who are lazy like me: I bought a 100-ft spool of 1/8" SGT KNOTS Shock Cord in tan (through Amazon) and replaced the suede laces with it. I cut the shock cord a bit longer than the laces just for aesthetic purposes (I like longer "bows" at the top of the shoe), but since the bungee cord stretches to 180% of its "relaxed" length, it is MUCH easier for me to slip the shoes on and off, and it also helps with avoiding pinching my calves as I zip up the shoes. The color of the cord isn't a perfect match to the suede laces, but it matches the shoe just fine (see the picture for a comparison). I took off one star for having to spend an extra $20 on the cord, but it's definitely worth the added convenience!All in all a good purchase. I haven't worn the shoes outside yet, and I could see myself getting really hot in them, as they still cover up a good bit of your legs and the material isn't very breathable, but I'll update the review after putting them to the test in the hot Vegas weather. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Love these! However, getting the sandle on was impossible (doesn't stretch) you need alot of patience. What made it easier for me was to untie the laces to at least my ankle it fit perfectly then I laced it back up. I'm an 8.5 shoe size thick thighs and big calves. I ran out of string when I got to my thighs so I pulled tighter and tighter the laces are still a little small but ties around the thigh not to uncomfortable though. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Finally *by E***A on Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2020* Finally a gladiator that fits my skinny legs. I have no calves and love how these sandals looks like I have some without being loose. They actually fit around my legs no gaps. Mine are laced at the tightest. The laces are long enough to Accommodate a larger leg. They are adjustable to fit a much larger leg. The laces are not the best I would suggest getting bungee cord. I ordered the black and just ordered the lighter color. I can’t wait to get them. It is tricky to fit your foot into the sandals. Get the bungee cord that will help with that. Hope this helps.
