FULL Color LED Effects! * * * Great for Rooms and Cabinets! * * *
What a fantastic LED light kit, and especially at the price! I have bought TWO of these kits so far, and may get more...BASICS - It's a powered box that has 3 pigtails - 2 for the LED strips, and 1 that is the remote receiver. So plan accordingly.... You'll want the remote received to be visible or the remote will not work very well as it's IR (infrared) so needs line-of-sight. Also, the 65-feet of LED strip is in TWO pieces - so there's 2 rolled strips that are each about 32.5 feet long (I didn't bother measuring for exactness as I installed while unrolling). So again, plan accordingly on how to route your light strips prior to installing.PRE-INSTALLATION - IMPORTANT!!! - You have to CLEAN the surface you are going to install the LED strips on. Yes, dust gets on the ceiling... No, you didn't just clean it last week... haha! Don't kid yourself. And by clean, I don't mean a fluffy duster... I mean get a wet paper towel (wet with hot water, evaporates/dries faster) and clean the crown-molding / walls / ceiling / etc where you will be installing the lights. The LED strips are sticky-backed. And they stick well.... TO CLEAN SURFACES. They'll stick to dust, for a few minutes, then they'll be on the floor. Do yourself a favor, clean the installation surface, and they'll be stuck for a long time.INSTALLATION - Once you have your base plan for installation, I installed with the LED strips plugged in, so I knew things were working as I went. Unroll some of the strip, plug it in, then start peeling the backing off the strip and press it down as you go. I pulled it tight and then stick it down about a foot out to keep it straight, then go back and press down all along in between, repeating each foot. The bedroom in the pics has been installed since March - so 5 months so far, zero issues.Installation side note: I did get an accessories kit when doing my cabinet - ASIN B011BD2B5Q which allows you to cut and/or join strips either straight or 90-degree angles. If you need to cut a strip short, whether to simply terminate the installation, or for joining purposes, there are marked cut points - cut at those points to avoid messing up any of the electronics. I used really sharp scissors, but wire cutters would work as well.LIGHTS / CONTROL - This kit includes a remote control with on/off and various light control buttons. You can set direct to certain colors or select from several fade modes, and several audio modes. I don't use the audio modes, so can't comment on those. I mostly use the "fade" modes where the light slowly cycles thru the spectrum, fading from color to color. These light strips change colors all at once, meaning all LEDs are the same color, and fade as such in unison. This kit does not offer a "chase" mode whereby the lights change in a chasing pattern along the LED strips.I have installed 2 of these kits - one in my sons bedroom, and the other in a corner curio I'm using for a liquor cabinet. The cabinet has mirrors on the back sides, so I installed the control box at the top, behind the upper lip, then drilled holes and ran the LED strips down the inner edge, across the bottom/inside wall below the glass, then back up the inside corner. Directly, none of the LEDs are visible, but obviously there's reflections from the back mirrors. But once the bottles are in place, you see less of the reflected LEDs and it just looks fantastic.SIMILAR ITEMS - I did also buy the "newer model" that has the bluetooth capability.... Sent that one right back. I have a comparison picture of the LED strips. THIS model has LED's about every inch. The "newer" model that has bluetooth has HALF as many LEDs with them being on the strip bout every 2 inches. I preferred THIS model with the higher LED count versus having bluetooth capability. So just be aware if you're considering the other models offered by Daybetter.SUMMARY - VERY happy with this kit. Installation is simple. Remote control works. Good concentration of LED with them being spaced about every inch.

Super bright, adhesive should be stronger.
These get super bright which is what I wanted for under the kitchen cabinets, but are also dimmable. I gave them a four star because the backing adhesive should be stronger. I’ve used different types of self stick LED strip lights in the past and they were always much stickier than these. I never had an issue. These were a struggle to stick under the cabinets.

Very bright!
Very bright comparing to other LED strip lights in same proce point. Also a huge plus that it is a RF remote instead of IR. No need to point at the receiver for remote to work.

The answer to which LED light strip is best!
For you parents out there trying to score points with your kid by breaking down and getting those cool lights for their room that all the other kids have, let me be the first to welcome you to the seventh circle of hell! I first entered lighting purgatory a year ago when my daughter begged to have them for her room. I’m sure you’re doing what I did at first and checking reviews to decide which is the best LED light brand to buy. Allow me to save you the time by letting you know that it is a trick question: THERE ARE NO BEST LED LIGHTS!!! These damned things are Mao’s revenge on the West! They ALL suck, without exception....poorly made, no thought to quality, and instructions (if you’re lucky enough to buy ones that actually come with instructions) that are written in a charming, politically incorrect form of pigeon English that are impossible for anyone to understand! But if you are a true glutton for punishment and intent on this purchase, let me tell you why this brand is even worse than the other four I have tried. Starting with the company web site, you probably won’t even find the specific set you purchased, half of their product line is currently sold out, no comprehensible instructions available and not even a link to the phone app that supposedly makes the lights beat in rhythm to the music. Also, no tidbits of knowledge that you will need like how many strands you can string together from a single power adapter (answer depends on linear feet....usually two strands of 16.4ft each for a max of 32.8ft. See....told you I went through this nightmare before!) Forget connecting these things to your network, at least on the first few attempts. I have worked in IT for 24 years and never encountered anything as bewildering or frustrating as integrating these stupid lights into my home network. Bottom line, plan on spending countless hours online reading articles and watching countless YouTube videos to learn about how to make these crappy things work. And if you finally succeed, Congratulations! But I guarantee one of two things will happen next....they will either burn out in 3 months or your kid will become completely bored with them and stop using them altogether. Do yourself a favor and just give them the Amazon gift card and let them figure it all out! Best of Luck and remember two things: your kids will not be teenagers forever and will someday appreciate the efforts you made for them. And second, these cheap LED lights are not worth the money you will end up spending on blood pressure medication!
