Going strong for over 2.5 years. Just really pleased with this thing, the amount of storage room/capacity and that it keeps it all dry and dust free is amazing. We just finished up a road trip around 1,000 miles and it rained almost every day and this thing remained bone dry. The overall quality is great even the lashing straps have held up great. I built a PVC frame to place inside of it to help it maintain its shape. At the end of every trip I clean it off with 303 protectant, break down the frame and store it until the next time. Definitely a great purchase.

UPDATE: I’ve had this bag for more than two years at this point and it works very well. I have still never had the flap be pushed up by wind as some users experience (which exposes the zipper allowing water to get inside). I think that this could almost always be avoided by filling the bag full as much as possible. When packing for a trip I fill the bag first, once it is full I put what’s left in the vehicle. We recently used the bag on our annual trip to Island Park, Idaho (just outside Yellowstone). A 250 mile trip in winter with wet roads, snow and ice along the way - we literally drove through snowstorms going and coming. This was our third trip using this bag and so far the bag has kept everything dry each time! Considering how well this bag has performed and held up I’m increasing my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Original review: The material of the bag itself is obviously waterproof. The seams are tight and definitely water resistant. The only issue would be the zipper, which is made from what seems like a cotton nylon mix and water passes right through it like a strain... for me it works fine, it is behind my Nissan Armada (large SUV) so the wind does not push the flap up and expose the zipper - even after hours of 80 mph. I’ve only ever had a few drops of water make it inside which for the price is acceptable. If it had a better zipper I would give it 5 stars. If you absolutely need a 100% waterproof bag look elsewhere (and at quadruple the price) otherwise if you are putting it behind a large-ish SUV, this will keep the weather out well enough.

It fits perfect in the back of our truck. There is lots of room inside it. It zips up and also Velcros over the zipper. It has straps to attach it to the truck as well. I would purchase this again.

Took this on vaca during great weather for a 500 mile trip one way. It was a little bigger than the Cargo Hauler we have but not much bigger. It actually worked well because we put crab pots inside and they were a tad wider than the hauler also. We fit everything we needed into it and then some more on the way home, the space was great. (You know how you end up with more stuff on the return trip somehow, this was excellent to shove it in!) The zippers are solid, the material is thick and strong. I had zero worries of the wire from the cages tearing the fabric. Based on quality, size, zippers, material, etc, 5 stars. It survived 1,000 miles, no problems at all. Came home and threw it off the hauler and left it sit for a day. The next day it rained all day. I wasn’t too worried since it said it was waterproof, and if not, everything inside could get wet anyway. The following day, I opened it up - excited to see what happened, and there was a good bit of water in the bottom. I was so disappointed! I thought for sure it wouldn’t get water in it. Now, I’m not sure if it got water in it from just sitting in the rain, or since it was hours of rain, or what. However I do feel like if I was traveling and it rained, no water would have got in. But I don’t know that, at all. So that’s my experience. For that, I had to give it four stars. I would recommend this product, with an asterisk!

Great quality. Easy to use

Bought this to keep our gear safe from the elements during a camping trip. The weather was absolutely perfect until we were about five miles from home at the end of the trip and the skies opened up. Everything in the bag was kept perfectly dry. The construction feels heavy duty and seems like it will not damage easily. The only problem was from operator error, it was too close to the exhaust (which they tell you not to do) and it did pucker the outside of the bag a bit; as I said though, that was entirely my fault. I will need to rig up a heat shield for my cargo carrier or get a deflector for my exhaust but that's just due to how my hitch receiver is located on the car. I used ratchet straps to hold the bag and it's contents in my cargo tray rather than the provided straps, but their anchor points seem to be solidly reinforced on the bag's surface. Given the price I paid for this (approx. $40) I would say it was worth every penny.

This cargo carrier bag is amazing! It’s incredibly spacious at 20 cu. ft., and it held up perfectly during our trip in different weather conditions. The waterproof design kept everything dry, and it fits securely on the hitch tray. It’s also very durable and easy to load. Highly recommend for anyone needing extra storage space for car or truck trips

I am impressed by the quality of this item. The vinyl is thick and waterproof. The zipper is strong as is the Velcro flaps. the straps are easy to apply and keep the bag well fixed though I did secure the entire bag with an outside strap. Keeps everything inside dry and clean. Better than hard case because it can expand according to the load required or decompress for smaller loads. Very happy with it.

I just drove almost 7000km on a road trip around the United States this month. We went through some awful storms, high winds, and dirty roads, and this thing did great. Very durable, and only once did it let a little water in during an extreme weather event in Oklahoma. Lots of room and the zipper works well. I did not use the straps so I can’t comment on that.
