It will last a long time if you dont overheat it
I finally got sick of my old bits dying the second they hit rebar in the slab. This Diablo bit is a total game-changer for drilling through tough concrete. It flies through the plain concrete, and when it hits the steel, it just chews right through instead of stopping cold. After dozens of deep holes, the tip still looks sharp and shows no real wear. Stop wasting money on cheap bits and buy this oneโitโs absolutely worth the professional price tag.

Best Masonry bit ever used!
Best bits on the market hands down! Cut through brick and mortar like butter when hanging 8 shutters which was 48 different holes and still cutting the same as the 1st hole that was drilled. DIABLO BITS ARE AMAZING!!!

The one for when you might hit a rebar
A very good concret bit, and one that can drill through rebar. From what I can tell, a 'rebar' bit has 4 cutting edges at the tip instead of just 2 like some bits have. I have used different brands, and the Diablo are the best I have used if drilling where you may hit a rebar. I do some concrete drilling, but am far from a pro so I don't have experiences with every bit by any means, but I will spend the extra money for the Diablo for any instance where I might encounter rebar. For unreinforced concrete, they are about on par with any other quality bit, with decent life.
