You won't find a more bizarre honey
Seen in an Italian travel series hosted by Stanley Tucci, this very exotic honey comes only from the island of Sardinia off the coast of Italy in the Mediterranean where it is called "Bitter Honey" (for good reason!) As a single source honey, it is harvested solely from the flowers of the Wild Strawberry grown on the island. This plant is actually a tree and not related at all to the ground berry you're used to. Probably the strongest flavored honey I've ever had, it certainly is the strangest though not unpleasant (warning: I prefer full-flavored single source honeys). Sweet, grainy, medium amber, the aroma reminds me faintly of the smoke used in honey collection. But its profile is due to the bizarre flowers of this tree. Not for the faint of heart, the honey has a strong flavor of wood ash on the aftertaste. I really like it for its truly bizarre flavor and uniqueness. Due to the bizarre nature of the flavor, I eat it plain out of the jar as I cannot imagine it in baked goods unless they're savory. Certainly the strangest honey I've had but, again, not unpleasant at all, just unique. If you are a honey connoisseur, you need to try this honey.

Oh Honey!
It is good honey. The bitterness is subjective. Depending on one's palate it is really either bitter or not really. I happen to find it not bitter at all. It can decrystallize at room temp but you'd have to wait a long time and only the 1st half of the jar will liquefy. It tastes as honey did once upon a time and not these abominable versions available on the market these days. It arrived well packaged and intact. I'd say it's worth a try if you love honey!

Sharp bitter finish. Not for everyone. Good stuff.

One of a Kind Honey
This is one of a kind, high quality, raw honey. It is slightly bitter, yet pleasantly sweet with an excellent aroma. I and my family truly love it. It is our morning must before having breakfast! We especially like the honey when it is crystalized, and we never thaw it to preserve its healing properties. The honey is always well-packaged with small, informative brochures about its origin. The seller provides detailed information about the purchase the moment it ships. Communication with the seller has always been very pleasant and cordial! Thank you very much!

No bitterness - the hallmark of Corbezzolo
An astonishingly, disappointing and very expensive product that lacked - on my third order in a row - even a hint of bitterness. My assumption is that they are blending it with sweeter floral honey for a potentially sweeter American market. Regardless, it lacked even a hint of a bitter aftertaste. Buying local organic honey would have been cheaper and healthier for me. Sad to see the taste bear no resemblance to the famed Corbezzolo bitterness, despite its thoughtful packaging.

Itโs very bitter, you aught to know your bitter tolerance, or how to use this honey
I do not really know how to rate this. Itโs truly bitter. I am not the right person to pass judgement on something I donโt understand.I had to try to make sure I was not missing something.. I love honey and keep about 90 honeys in my pantry I collected over years. I take 1/2 teaspoon taste of a different one a few times a week. This one is out of my league. My family will polish off pots of honey when no one is looking, firebush, poison Ivey, carrot. All the manukau I donโt like guests, they are like locusts

Arrived as leaking mess, but its unique and tastey!
I ordered this once before and its bitter but tasty. Unique. Sadly, my second order arrived as a gooey mess. The seal is intact but doesnt mean a thing if the lid was not on right. On detailed inspection, the lid wasnt screwed on and a bunch leaked out. Honey gets runny in 100deg summer day. Now i may die early cause my blue zone honey didnt arrive in the jar!!!! Notified the seller, and they responded quickly and super friendly. Way better service and concern than other sellers. They apologized and sent me a new shipment. Its good honey and good service if you need it!
