I bought these Retro black with white stripes gym pants in two sizes - medium and large, to choose the right size and send the other one back. I kept them both. The medium fits me well with slight puddling of the pant legs at my shoes. The waist is good with plenty of stretch to comfortably expand or contract if needed. The large is just a bit looser all around and has just a little more puddling at the shoes, which is fine with me, and still fits well. Even the waist is comfortably snug enough for me with the large size. There is a drawstring in case you need to tighten it up. The martial is thin and is not as thick as typical fleece type sweatpants. The 80% cotton makes it soft and the 20% polyester gives it durability & structure. If you are wearing light or bright colored underwear, in certain light you may be able to see the underwear color through these gym pants because of the weave of the fabric.
