Great purchase to enhance your knowledge!
This book is mostly for Medical and NP students. Highlights the most important topics, but you do need time and some effort to understand the material. It’s complex.

The BEST critical care resource for intensivists!
Drs. Gladwin and Donahoe somehow managed to make even better an already excellent critical care book! This book contains everything a critical care physician needs to know for the boards, but more importantly to care for patients at the bedside. The book is written very clearly and the authors make conceptually difficult topics (like mechanical ventilation) easy to understand. The way information is presented facilitates accessing the information in the physician's brain during a 4am emergency... Finally, the chapter on hemodynamics and catheter waveform troubleshooting is unique and contains pearls from the authors' multiple years of experience caring for the sickest patients. I highly recommend the book for all critical care physicians!

Too simple
I thought it would be more advanced for an actual critical care, nurse. This is a very cartoonish double dummy down version. Very disappointed.
