I posed a question asking whether this metal jug would work over INDUCTION, and received multiple 'opinions' that it wouldn't work/wouldn't be suitable/the handle would get too hot/I should buy a milk pan. Not a single reply was based on EXPERIENCE. And I didn't want a milk pan - I needed something ferrous for it to work on my hob, and tall enough so that the hand-held frother wouldn't spray the entire kitchen.So I decided to go with my instincts and hope that the metal was indeed ferrous (I know it says stainless steel on the product description - but claims and descriptions are often inaccurate nowadays, especially on Amazon) and therefore suitable for magnet heat.Delighted not to have paid attention to those misguided 'opinions'!It works absolutely fine and does what I intended it to do: use the hob to heat/re-heat my espresso machine coffee + butter to then proceed with frothing. Much, much easier than faffing with coffee machine wands, microwave-proof vessels, etc.The 600ml capacity is perfect. And THE HANDLE STAYS BARELY WARM EVEN ON MAX INDUCTION POWER.I'd love it more if it had a heavier base, but I'm not disappointed overall.P.S. If you wonder about GAS HOBS, I'm sure it will work on those too (although the handle WILL get hot in that case - have a fabric pot holder to hand and you'll be fine).

There's nothing wrong with this jug, it does the job exactly as it should. BUt its not the one pictured!

Great little jug, have used loads of times already to froth milk for my cappuccino. Its great size. Easy to clean. Dishwasher safe. Will last forever as its stainless steel. Would highly reccommend.
