I ordered this moss to put into the humid hide for my leopard gecko. The package arrived in perfect condition. I've never delt with sphagnum moss before, so I was a little shocked to see the vacuumed sealed bag. After cutting it open I expected it to instantly fluff, but that wasn't the case. I tore a bit off and fluffed it up and it easily tranformed into the perfect bedding for my humid hide. It's soft, yet sturdy and adds a good level of comfort for my gecko while helping to maintain the humidity of the enclosure. I misted it to test the humidity level and was just what we needed! The price is great and the moss will last us a good while since it doesn't take much to fill our humid hide. Overall this is a great buy and I highly recommend!

This moss is fantastic, grow up when you add water, is easy to use, color is brown but when you open the vacuum sealed package and adding water, will grow more green. I use only less than half the package and after soaking, there was a lot of moss, green and with a great smell. I use one part in my tortoise enclosure, but plan to use the rest of the package. It is easy to clean, just get a big recipient, put the moss, add some water, not a lot like half of the moss used, and in 10 min, moss will grow and turning green, soak the rest, change the water, and that’s it. For the money paid, it is a great quality moss, size is fine, and price is inexpensive.

I got this for my new Regal Jumping Spiders enclosure. So far it looks great. It came in a vaccumed sealed pouch. It actually looks really green. I didn't find any bad smell. I read one review that said it had a chemical smell to it but thankfully it only smells earthy. I am satisfied with this product and will buy again when needed.

I purchased this product with the intention of creating a mossy hide for my snake, and overall, it worked well for that purpose. The dried moss has a vibrant color, looks semi-realistic, and has a decent texture. However, the main issue I encountered was how dusty it was—some of the moss had degraded into a powder at the bottom of the bag. Fortunately, the rest of it was in good condition and usable. Knowing it is reptile-safe and easy to work with, I’d say this is a good product for creating decorations or functional additions to reptile enclosures. It also retains moisture well, making it a great option for a humid shedding cave. That said, I wouldn’t recommend this for reptiles that enjoy eating greens or licking their environment due to its brittle texture and resemblance to edible vegetation. For other uses, though, it works just fine and serves its purpose effectively.

Using it for my new cave gecko enclosure they love it. Haven’t had any mold issues and my humidity levels are finally manageable without a mister. All in all a good product would buy again if I even need more

My bearded dragon absolutely loves this ! To sleep in or when he’s shedding. After soaking it I dried it out for him. It does have a strong earthy aroma but it dies down after a day or two.

I had recently moved my adult ball python into a 120 gallon tank and I was struggling to keep his humidity at the proper levels. I got this moss on a whim and hoped that it would help. Follow the directions in the bag and mist as you normally would. The time between when I need to spray his tank has gone up! I think it has helped for sure. Ita natural moss, so it holds humidity well. I change the moss when I change the bedding in my Ball pythons tank
