Super sturdy. The post on my porch was starting to slide off the slab base which is about 1 foot off the ground. That would’ve been a disaster. They came in black but I painted them white to match the post.. These are heavy, high quality metal. Super easy to install. The price may seem a bit high, but the quality you get makes the cost totally worth it. Now I have peace of mind that my post is secure!

Very impressive repair kit. We had a loose 6x6 cedar post, hammered the stake in & it is surprisingly sturdy. Used a small sledgehammer to get it started followed by 10lb sledgehammer. Took no more than 15 minutes. Be careful with the provided bolts, they snap off easily. We started them with an impact driver & finished with a socket & ratchet. Would definitely buy again

On the plus side: the brace appears to be well made and is very sturdy. It is by far better than the braces that I purchased in the past at Lowe’s and on Amazon as it is so much easier to install and far much much sturdier. In fact, I ordered two more after installing the first one. On the negative side: the drill bit that is provided is pretty bad; I suggest you use your own. The hole on the bottom is in my opinion impractical as most wooden posts are leaning because they are rotting at the point where they contact the ground and lower so why screw into soft wood? It is also too low to easily drill and screw into; it should probably be a few inches higher. Having said that, I do not think that a 4th screw adds any value. While it is pretty easy to figure out how to install it, there are no directions in the box BUT, they do show you how to install it on the same page that you ordered it on. Overall, I am very satisfied with this product.

This item has a very firm hold. It changed the game for my fence post! The post is just as strong or stronger than it was when the fence was first installed! I was very impressed with the results and everything that you need was included in the package with the exception of the hammer to pound it into the ground. I recommend this item!

I used this kit to reinforce a fence post that had broken below ground during high winds years ago. It felt very solid after installing, so I had high hopes. We had some extreme winds again yesterday, and that broken post was indeed absolutely solid. If you don't want to go to the work of digging up and replacing a broken post, this repair kit will do the job and save your fence. Installation was straightforward. Be sure to have a good hand-held sledgehammer, and wear ear protection (it rings loud with each hit). The plank of wood provided for impact transfer wasn't quite adequate, so have a small 2x4 or other wood plank ready. I can't speak to long tern durability, but it's solid after a month, and I have no concerns.

Great item, really helped with getting my fence fixed without digging up broken posts. Going to order few more next summer.

These work pretty well. I did it by myself and it kept going in slightly to one side as I hammered. Tried it 3 times, I think it may have been hitting concrete so it's a little crooked (I had no help to guide it) , but doesn't matter because the fence is upright and the post is as sturdy as any. Didn't take 15 minutes, pretty easy. There are some cheaper ones around though.

Wow this is brilliant piece of kit. Fence post broke off and was faced with a major job taking the fence down digging out the old post, getting in new post getting in bags of redimix etc etc. Saw this on Amazon read the reviews and took the plunge. Wow what a result fence post mended and fence now upright again all in 20 minutes work and now rock solid Absolutely brilliant.

This is well built. Very very heavy. Nice finish. Almost like art. Very sturdy and get's more than the job done. Fantastic! Pricey yes, but safety first and worth every penny.

Does the trick, just installed which was a simple enough job. This has now stabilised a wonky fence due to the bottom of wooden fence posts being rotten/broken. Fence was just waiting to be blown over by the next gale-force wind so should now have a longer life!
