Is there a reason that justifies the cost?** A: My doctor explained that in order for the peppermint oil to make it past the stomach acids, IBGard is coated with a delivery system to make it to the lower gut to treat IBS. Most peppermint oil products treat stomach symptoms only, and don’t have this coating, which I presume is the reason for the steep price. **Q: Is this something you take everyday or just when trouble starts?** A: Use 30 minutes after meals. Everyday. I use 1 to 2 capsules depending on how I feel and what I ate. **Q: Any sugar in this item?** A: 41.5 my of peppermint oil. Don't know how much of that is sugar. But the product is amazing! **Q: ive used colpermin and it didnt help, is this a different kind of peppermint oil?** A: I don't know if it's a different kind of peppermint oil. What I think is the difference is the way IBgard is delivered. I think it's something about how it's made and then how it's delivered in your body that is different from other types of peppermint oil pills. It is used for gut health. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Literally life-changing. *by K***T on June 20, 2024* I've apparently had IBS for many years. I just ignored it, because I'm an idiot, and thought my "habits" were normal. Food used to go right through me. I'd eat lunch- healthy, unhealthy, didn't really matter- and would be on the toilet twice within the next 2 hours, guaranteed... after already having been there twice that morning. Gross, soft, and/or liquidy stuff... loud & incredibly uncomfortable stomach gas/bloating that my co-workers could hear 15 feet away... just not fun. My wife finally pushed me to address it last year. I tried taking a highly rated probiotic. After 8+ months of daily use, no change whatsoever. Finally decided to see a gastroenterologist. He commended my choice of probiotic... but said it simply doesn't help about 50% of people who use it. Pointed me to IBGard and suggested a switch to a low FODMAP diet. I literally took this ONE time and was immediately transformed. It's been 3 days now, and I've gone #2 a single time each day- without even having adopted the low FODMAP diet yet. I'm still planning on the dietary change, but doing so feels less necessary given the effectiveness of IBGard. My only tiny complaint is that these feel fairly expensive. My doctor suggested taking 2 of these with each meal, 3 times a day. So, 6 per day. Even buying them in bulk, that's almost $3.50 a day, or $1250/year.
