Dread Head - Dreadlock Soap

Repeat it’s for the maintenance of my 13yr old dreads. Love how light it makes my hair feel and super clean! Recommended.

This shampoo is a dreadhead-must! This product and its unique, gentle and health-minded ingredients single-handedly tightened, locked and matured my dreads faster than ever. I started using it at the beginning of my dread journey 4 years ago, worried that it wouldn’t help much. I soon realized that by using this regularly, I didn’t need any locking products. Nope. No wax. It’s also very gentle on my sensitive scalp.I now have long, clean dreads down my back and nearing my waist. Every time I use this, I know that any buildup (any dreadhead’s foe) is gently and quickly cleansed out of my hair. I love that a little goes a long way to fill my hair with lots of suds. It rinses out very quickly and easily. This is especially significant, since it can be physically challenging to lather up dreads (the thicker they become). Other shampoos have unhealthy ingredients, don’t lather quickly and don’t thoroughly clean dreads. I also find this important, because without this shampoo cleaning long dreads can become a strenuous chore necessitating multiple rounds of shampooing (which leads to using a lot of product). This is definitely not the case with this holy grail shampoo. As a result, this bottle lasts for a while. I always re-order and get anxious when my supply runs low.

It works great. Leaves dreads feeling clean and tights.Tip for use, you gotta do a preliminary wash.. get a decent amount on your scalp and dreads and work it in… scrub your scalp clean, work it into the dreads.. You’ll notice it will not get very sudsy, DONT use more, it won’t matter, and the oilier and dirtier your hair is the less suds you’ll get. No worries. Work it in. Scrub that scalp. Rinse it. Now repeat the wash and your gonna get so many suds! I try to wash at least twice a week. More if I’m active. Only complaint I have is the price, so getting the big one is recommended, but it ships fast, and leaves dreads feeling so nice.I’m Mexican. My hair is wavy. My wife is black with 4C hair and used it on her dreads. Also loves it and gives it 5 stars. Switched over from her old shampoo.

I got this product 4 my husband who has dreads. The smell is nice and the product arrived early. My husband said it works great on his hair and he could tell a diffenence in his dreads with one wash. He will continue to use this product. I don't see the diffrence with this product and the knotty boy shampoo, but supposibly the dread head hq works better.

My husband has dreadies and they are less than a year old! I found the dreadhead products, then found their website and fell in love! These guys make quality products and have great customer service and also a great wealth of knowledge about dreads! This soap has been great for his dreads and scalp! He doesn't use it as often as he should, but it still helps a lot. Keeps his dreads clean and the only smell is just a light fresh smell which is very nice. It does a very good job of keeping his dreads from getting greasy and also helps tighten them! This is his second bottle and I will continue to buy this soap and their other products whenever we need them! Love DreadHeadHQ!

The best way to have Sqeeky Clean Hair, literally! And I don't even have dreads. Washing my hair twice with Dread Head Clearifying Shampoo each wash has contributed greatly to new and consistent hair growth.

I've used this shampoo since I started my dreadies in 2004. I've tried other brands but ALWAYS come right back to dreadheadhq. They just feel SO clean, I've never had to worry about any smells or scents, and leave em feeling tighter and tighter, even after 16+ years. Hands down, best dreadie shampoo out there...and if I ever lose my marbles and cut them, I'd still use the shampoo on my normy hair. It's some super rad biz

It leaves a squeaky clean feel but more importantly after the first wash my locs were noticeably tighter. I kept getting asked if I had palm rolled them and to much disbelief myself I shared that they had only been washed with this shampoo that claimed to tighten locs. The claim of drying locs faster is also a fact. Typically I am left with water dripping from my locs even after wrapping with a towel for 5-10 minutes but not with this shampoo. After using for my second wash I intentionally left my hair down (I usually twist it up while wet) and was able to be worry free from a wet shirt. My locs are the skinniest they've been in the 3 yrs of having them. Love this shampoo and will definitely recommend to others!
