The silicone on the one side seems thick enough but there is something weird and uncomfortable about the little seam in the middle. It’s very awkward and uncomfortable. If I hadn’t taken the tags off before trying them I would have returned. Color is very pretty.

I should have been more careful in reading the "fine print". This is the first pot holder that I have ever run into where you cannot wash it. If it were totally non-porous, I would understand the "wipe clean only" directions, but what about when you accidentally spill sauces on the polyester side. That's inevitable,...practically. Kitchen Aid is an awesome brand, but perhaps this is one of those licensed products... IDK, whatever, when I need to, I'm washing it. I love it; don't get me wrong. It works well and the color is awesome. It's more of a bright yellow color than it is an orange, sorbet or not. Yellow.
