Iso and Bizzarrini Limited Edition Ultra

Wish it weren't so $$. Very nice book and arrived fast.

I've been part of restoring 2 Iso Grifos. Great cars finally being recognized.Fascinating story.

I was looking forward to adding this book to my collection as it is one of very few available on the ISO marque. Typical of the Brooklands format - basically a reprint of magazine articles and therefore somewhat repetitive in content - it is a comprehensive catalogue of all ISO models (and the rarer Bizzarrini's of the same pedigree). If you're a fan of Italian/American hybrid exotica (I have a Pantera) it's a must have BUT ... Brooklands: you MUST do better on the quality of reproduction. This book is pretty poor - some of the photos are reproduced so dark you can barely see what the car is yet alone any detail and much of the text repro is similarly very poor. Shame really because it could have been so good if more care had been taken: it's like someone bunged the original magazine on a photocopier and never bothered to check the output for darkness/squareness etc. And the book isn't exactly basement price .....

Tja wie der Titel schon sagt, ist dies eine Sammlung von s/w Kopien englischsprachiger Zeitungsartikeln. Es sind vor allem Fahrberichte und Tests von Automobilzeitschriften. Man findet also über den 208 Seiten nicht nur Berichte, sondern auch umfangreiche technische Daten, Messwerte und Bilder. Die Artikel wurden zwischen 1962 und 2004 geschrieben, wobei ca. 2/3 aus den 60er und ca. 1/4 aus den 70er Jahren stammt und nur die letzten 5 sind in neuerer Zeit verfasst wurden.Sicher nicht jedermanns Sache, aber für Liebhaber der Materie eine günstige Quelle.
