A Great Read that Captivates You Until the Climatic End
The story of Rand Garrett is wound through this book as she seeks the truth about her birth father, whom she believed had died in Vietnam. Starting her journey from a map given to her by her boss, Big Daddy, at the Harley shop where she works, she jumps on her bike and winds from Arizona to Louisiana chasing the typical path of sixties bikers from Arizona to Mardi Gras. In the swamps and bayous of Louisiana, she meets a people that embrace her and help her unravel the mystery of her lost father. I highly recommend as a quick and interesting read.

Fast Paced Story of Discovery
Occasionally, we hear of a person fortunate enough to have made a correct, meaningful life decision early on. Say hello to Rand Garrett, a 22 year old female struggling with the universal "what-to-do-now" situation all of us encounter, sooner or later. Too inexperienced to comprehend the precarious nature of the adventure she chooses, Rand breaks with her family and innocently embarks on a quest to find her birth father. This trek ultimately places her in a life threatening situation where she prevails by discovering her own courage, resourcefulness and self. The author has written an intriguing page turner of a story. It's a real trip, don't miss the ride.

Captivating
This is the story of disguised truth within a family and the unavoidable boundaries built from such deception. In The Boundaries of Water, the one lie Rand Garrett has been told about her real father all her life innocently makes it’s way into the light. Her persistence to know more cultivates discord and trauma within her family and among people she meets on her adventure. On her own, she pursues her goal to know all the truth and is rewarded in the end with an unexpected healing. Boone Littlehorse writes a story that flows non-stop from page to page, chapter to chapter and in the end, we see a bit of Rand Garrett in each of us.

A non-stop read
I am not an avid reader (as my wife would confirm) but seeing the cover of “Boundaries” I could not help but buy it. Being from Louisiana the swamp on the cover reminded me of the view from my grandparents back door. With the over lay of the girls face I knew something mysterious was in store. Boone Littlehorse gave us a non-stop adventure from Arizona to Louisiana. In addition he very accurately presented the flavor of Louisiana, not only int the food, but the complete culture. I recommend this book whole heartedly.

The Boundaries of Water is the story of a young woman's courage and determination.
During a campfire conversation on a weekend trip before graduate school Rand Garrett’s boyfriend asks her a question about her biological father, a man Rand has been told died in Vietnam before she was born. As her boyfriend continued to ask questions she realizes she knows very little about the man. Later, when she questions her mother about him, her mother relates a shocking story that she and her friend Barbara, have kept hidden from Rand all her life. In an attempt to learn more about her real father, and armed only with a vintage photo of a young man and woman, and a uniquely painted motorcycle, Rand, an avid motorcyclist herself, undertakes a bike trip that carries her from her comfortable home in Arizona and long-time friends, to the Acadian country of Louisiana. Along the way she meets and makes new friends, and discovers a place of live oaks, Spanish moss, dark bayous and even darker secrets. The Boundaries of Water is a worthwhile read. I liked it because it’s the tale of a quest, and it has a very surprising ending. That’s always good. In addition to that, I especially enjoyed Boone Littlehorse’s description of an American subculture that few outsiders know anything about.Barry PackJune 15, 2022

Very well written and entertaining read.
This is a very well written and entertaining read. The journey of self discovery will resonate with all who are fortunate enough to discover this book. The descriptions of the Louisiana people, food and lifestyle are absolutely lyrical. Most highly recommended indeed!
