So very good
I was surprised at how much I liked this story. It's the first book I've read of April Zyon. Characters were well developed. A little too much on the mushy side but all in all very believable. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. Maybe the wars can be avoided? I would highly recommend this book.

Missed opportunity
There were so many openings for a plot, and a good, unique one at that. There are hints of conflict, but they are glossed over in favor of a fluff piece. The grammar is comically bad, and if you are sensitive to comma comas, avoid this book. If a sentence can be divided into 2 different sentences without extra words, comma and conjunction. If it can't, those parts of the sentence need each other, and the comma won't work, unless your dependent clause precedes your complete cause, then it has self esteem issues and needs that comma as a buffer. Seriously, it is so distracting from a book. Anyway, the book had a few issues for me. One, I did not believe for one page that the heroine is a doctor. It isn't that she appears incompetent, but there is nothing backing that up. It reads like she's an administrator. This bugged me when I was reading it. The heroine has very little personality, and I really wish more was explored with the testing at the facility that it displayed in the beginning. Their love was too fast, too easy, and despite the sex scenes, too Hallmark fluffy.It's a shame, as the author was creative and had some interesting ideas, but they were repeatedly set aside, in favor of a boring plot with no substantiated conflict. The heroine's personality is rather like cardboard.Suffice it to say, the book isn't worth the money. However, the author is a good storyteller with interesting ideas. I will look at her work in the future, though I will be more wary before purchasing her books. I will add, though, that the grammar was so awful at parts, that I doubt this proceeded much past a first draft.

I really liked this book. The characters seemed real and had a depth to them. I can not wait for the next book in this series.
