This review is for the 8in mattress. Nice and firm mattress. I'm 6'4, 275lbs and this mattress offers good support and comfort from head to toe. I have it set up on a simple metal base and the feel is firm/extra firm imo. At least in the 8in version. Even at my size and weight I do not sink into this mattress, there is no sagging, and its easy to move about on. You truly sleep atop this mattress and not in it, so to speak. The padding is responsive, the springs feel strong, it feels quality so far as a bed in a box is concerned. Very satisfied with this purchase and if in want of a FIRM mattress this may be for you. YMMV, of course. What is firm for me may be less so for some, too firm for others. But for me its excellent. Oh, and that includes very good edge support. Lay at the edge, sit at the edge, whatever. It will not collapse, you won't go rolling off. Exceedingly happy with this mattress.

There is no kind way to start this review so I'm just going to be blunt because you deserve blunt in mattress buying - it is SO important to be clear because a good/bad mattress GREATLY impacts your life! So here we go with the blunt - are you ready?! We're short, fat people. No. Really! About 100lbs overweight each. Don't judge - we have our reasons & I'm not sharing to open myself up to ridicule + with the New Year we are committed to losing! So why do you need to know we're fat, short people?! So you will know that because of our sizes we have really put this mattress through a workout since we bought it in August...and it is FABULOUS!!! I'm a side then move to back sleeper & my husband is a back sleeper & we both sleep like the dead in this bed! The bed is NOT hot, when we climb in (hello- we're short gotta climb!) we can tell there are springs, but when we lay down we don't feel them (no poking, etc.), and overall our bodies just feel well supported in a not too firm way! To think we bought this as a temporary bed - just to have since we moved 2200 miles & weren't taking our old mattress with us. We figured after we found a house to buy we'd upgrade - found the house faster than we planned & now this bed is coming from our temporary apartment to our house!!! With the outlay of so much money updating the house it's nice to not have to invest in a new bed! Just to give you a comparison - previously we had the Lucid 10" (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00478U768/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) which at the time we spent $349 on & is now priced at $287 as it should rightfully be priced less than this bed because the Lucid SUCKED! It was comfortable for about the first 6 months & then it started forming a divot in the shape of our bodies & gotta say - even when you are the person making the divot you still don't want a fat person divot in your bed! The Lucid was also REALLY hot - we would sweat on a winter's night while it was raining outside & the inside of our house was never warmed to more than 68°F! The divot also affected smoochy-smoochy time (divots are REALLY not conducive to that!). We kept the Lucid for about 18 months after we were both disgruntled with it because we knew we were moving & wanted to move small. For the last 6 months I didn't even sleep with my husband. I slept in this recliner (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002WGJHHW/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1) in the living room & got WAY better sleep in a cheapo (yet fabulous) recliner that's NOT made for fat people than I ever did in the Lucid! Bottomline - this fat lady has sung! Mattress buying is over! If we need another mattress at some point we'll be buying this one again! Already decided to buy the Queen size for our guest room & the 8" Twin for our children! I feel like Oprah - guests get a Zinus, children get a Zinus, everyone (in our family) gets a Zinus! Now that you're done reading my review - YOU go get yourself a Zinus!!!

Very comfortable and have slept on it numerous times camping. I am purchasing a second mattress.

We bought these for use in our guest bedroom. So far every one says they are very comfortable. Was a little disappointed in the attention to detail in the cover, but for the price and purpose we are pleased if they hold up to limited use.

I wasn’t sure what to expect—-SO impressed! Perfect size and great quality. The craftsmanship and comfort is amazing, and has exceeded expectations. I highly recommend this, and so amazed items can arrive flat, then POOF! They come alive when the vacuum packing is removed. We purchased a slated metal frame, and love it ALL. We are thrilled we took a chance, it is 5-Star-Fabulous!

The bed came rolled up in a box and delivered by Fed Ex. It is rolled up along with a sheet of plastic in the manner of a Jelly Roll. It is best as a two person job to unroll. Warning on bed stating that contents are "under pressure." The plastic packaging has several seams that need to be cut as each appears while you are unrolling the bed. When you get to the last seam, then it is poof, just like microwave pop corn, so be ready. We stayed off the bed for half a day to allow it time to fully expand (but probably just an hour or two would be fine). There was no scuff marks, mold, or any other detectable defects on the bed. I could not detect the presence of any tea by feel or smell. There were no other unpleasant orders. The three star rating is based solely on the fact that the Item Firmness Description is noted as "firm." If this is what is considered firm in Asia, then I would hate to see soft. One of the reasons I did not get the 12" bed was that it had a pillow top with a softer description. I can only imagine what that would have been like. But this bed is not soft in way that an old mattress is, when it has a permanent 2 to 3 inch body impression. It is just not firm. Firmness and softness (plush) is also a matter of personal taste. I also purchased the Zinus 14' frame (in separate review for the frame I would have stated what a great frame to set up, 5 stars). The frame description states that no box springs are necessary. I am not using any. I do not know if this is contributing to my "softness" issue. Most bed failures are due to poor or broken-down under the mattress support. Better to be on the floor than a bad frame. I am considering putting a plywood sheet on top of the frame to see if that makes a difference. My wife is 5 foot and considering the height of the frame, a set of box springs would make it too high from floor to mattress top, and we are too old to get off of the floor. Finally, there is not a strong border wire around the edge of bed. Maybe this is due to it having to be rolled up to ship. Anyhow, you will not want to do much edge sitting (something you are not suppose to do for long on even the best of beds) as the border support is almost non existent. Overall this would have been a five star bed based upon EXPECTATIONS on what you would get in a box for $249, if it had been firmer or if the product description reflected the actual firmness. It is not meant to be a long term bed for me. If I can get 2 or 3 years before having to replace, then it will be worth the price. Get back to me in 2020. This review is for a 10" Cal King.

Good quality mattress, especially for the price. It seems to be holding shape after the first year.

Worst for body posture

My left leg was hurting everyday because previous bed was too soft so when I sleep I would notice the arm would be numb some times. After buying this bed and only 3 days of sleeping on it , I notice all these problems went away. The bed is semi firm so it perfect for what my back needs. Thank you do much because of your bed im not in pain at eork anymore
