An excellent choice for a rugged emergency radio, and not just for emergency use.
Living in Florida, we occasionally have hurricanes which knocks out the power. So a portable, emergency radio is a good thing to have around. This radio is like a Swiss Army Knife of radios. It's perfect for everyday use as well as emergency use. As it says on the tin, it has a solar panel for charging, a crank for manual charging, or can be charged using a direct plug-in on the back with an included USB cable. So if you want it fully charged before a storm, you have plenty of options. It also has a built in flashlight and compass. On the top are buttons for switching radio bands, turning the light on and off, switching between radio and white noise mode, and to turn on the backlight on the front to determine how much power you have left and to measure the audio levels. On the back you have a switch to activate SOS mode which creates a loud alarm sound and rapidly turns the flashlight on and off for emergencies. You can also use this radio as an emergency power bank by flipping that same switch to turn the ports on the back of the radio, above the solar panel, into charging ports. On the side you can switch between radio, Bluetooth, or USB drive modes with ease. I've not tested the Bluetooth since I seldom use that in general with radios but that's just me. But you can plug in a custom thumb drive of music and play it via this radio fairly easily, with a play/pause and seek buttons to control the playback. Radio signal wise its very good and could pick up stations quite well. As shown on the product page, it does come with a nice plastic case with foam interior, perfect for storing the radio, the included cable, and the instruction manual with ease. The pictures do make it seem smaller than it really is and it's a little on the heavy side but that's fine. Overall, a very good choice for a portable emergency radio. An excellent choice for either regular and emergency use alike. The White Noise options though are kinda "meh." as they're all short, looping, sounds that come preloaded onto the radio. I think you'd be better off loading higher quality white noise onto a dedicated memory stick and using that if white noise is something that you simply must have with a radio but that's by no means a deal breaker for me.

Excellent radio, nearly overwhelming amount of cool features (even the stilly feature are cool)
Way more than I expected! Solar Charging ACTUALLY WORKS, many modes and functions. Great reception and good speaker volume from such a tiny unit. The storage box is nice and will protect the radio well, but is not waterproof so be aware of that.

Bug out bag radio. Fun to play with. Very suprised.
This is actually very cool! I'm a radio nut and have bought many higher end radios. I can literally hop down the road to C. Crane in Fortuna, and play with their radios. I bought their original emergency radio. But after 30 years, the dial gave out. It was the best at the time. But these days, radios are far and above. But this radio! This really suprised me! The controls were kinda wonky with my fat fingers, but once I got the feeling, this was actually a really nice radio. The speaker was the first shocker. The dial was the second shacker. The reception was the third shocker. This is a rechargeable radio that beats all that I've ever tried. Just put some foil on the end of the antenna and you'll have twice the reception. If you want more, C Crane sells a retractable long wire. Or just get some wire. This radio is perfect for a bug out bag, or just simply playing with. Todderbert on youtube demos an exact copy of this (this may be the copy), and the radio is precisely the same. The only difference is the branding. All functions are the same. I probably can't link a YouTube video but if you search "todderbert emergency radio review" and scroll, you'll find an excellent review. He covers EVERYTHING! This is a great radio if you have frequent power outages. The LED light lasts 18 hours. The radio is like 12. Much longer if you don't crank the music up. If you're looking for SSB on a $45 small radio, good luck. Bring on at least another hundred bucks. C Crane has the best mini, the CC Skywave SSB. It's spendy but worth the money if you can afford it, and are willing to set up a long wire. But SSB is usually just people talking about their radios and having competitions with others getting contacts. But during emergencies, they (The SSB'ers) are going to be the ones you'd want to be able to tune into. They are the true preppers. So choose your radios. This is a great power out radio.

Great compact Shortwave radio!
Great radio! The hand crank charger works great charging my iPhone, shortwave reception is good with the built-in antenna and even better with a clip on wire external antenna!

Ok, But with some issues
I purchased with my own money but decided to return the radio. I liked the sound quality and the auto scan and save station features. The Flashlight was pretty impressive with a very narrow bright beam which made it quote throwy. Multiple was to charge the unit was nice, but there is a negative to the usb c (see below) Now for the negatives: The compass does not work, gets randomly stuck, etc. The power button some times does not power on the unit when you hold it down. For a semi-survival radio I would have hoped for some sort of splash resistance, but for the price I get it... It will not charge with a multitude of USB C chargers. I tried multiple usb C PD chargers, and a multi charging hub which should negotiate the charge, it doesnt charge. You can only charge it with a lower power older style usb charging brick or laptop usb port. I wish there was access to the battery, alot of the multi use/survival radios have battery access. The white noise feature is also lacking. My wife and I didn't like the sound clip options, also there is a slight pause as the audio loops and plays again so it ruins the feature. Audio clips are fairly short, so the pause is noticeable.

Worth the price
Worth the money. It has so many features and comes in a handy box. I like the solar power option. After a natural disaster, having a radio is still important. For the price, it's worth it.

Recomendo, mas...
Excelente produto e recomendo. No entanto fiquei desapontado com o tempo de entrega, inicialmente seriam 20 dias depois passou para 26 dias e acabou por chegar 1 mês depois da compra, já depois de ser efetuado um reembolso. Era um presente para um familiar.
