While the idea of an absorbent stone heavy coaster is a great idea several things mess up the idea. First, they are painted which keeps the water from getting to the absorbent rock. Second, they are flat. I don’t know how many times I have picked up my drink and halfway to me the coaster let’s go and as per Murphy’s law drops and rolls under something. Or they fall on a hard surface and break. To help with absorption and surface tension dip them in a very mild solution of soapy water. Let them soak it up then dry them back out or leave them slightly damp. Don’t rinse them. We want a bit of soap in there to break that tension. They will work much better.

I purchased these coasters on an impulse after getting a prompt from Amazon. I recently purchased a number of essential oil diffuser’s and wanted some protection from liquid leaking out of the small vials that I keep on my wooden chest of drawers . These coasters are beautiful and decorative and serve the purpose and functionality perfectly. When my initial order arrived I was surprised to see that almost half of the coasters had significant and unsightly chips to the surface. I guess I don’t have a lot experience in purchasing from Amazon but this was the first time that I had received a defective product . I voiced my concerns immediately and was pleasantly surprised at the responsiveness of the vendor. Within two days not only had my defective coasters been replaced but my entire initial order was duplicated. I cannot say enough about the professionalism and dedication to customer service shown by the vendor. I can only hope that the product itself is as great as the customer service behind it. So far so good....

If there is such a thing as a "coaster junky" then that's what I am! I just love coasters! They can be an attractive and useful additon to any room where people are going to be drinking beverages and yet they also serve as a practical way to protect one's furniture from marks from wet glasses or cans. My children were raised using coasters so when their friends came over, it came naturally to them to give them a coaster if they were having a drink in my living room and I have two 46-year-old side table that have no rings on them.The design on these stone coaster, which really do absorb water, are quite pretty and they may keep me satisfied longer than usual before I decide to buy some new coasters, and that's saying a lot! I also bought the wrought iron coaster holder for them and it serves to call attention to the unusual design of the coasters and the fact that they are there! I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase.

My old cork coasters were finally falling apart so I was in the market for a new set of coasters. Saw these on a lightning deal and bought them. These things actually do what they say. The first thing that I did when I opened them is put water on them. Within 20 seconds, all of the water was absorbed into the coaster. So I put a bit more water, and that water disappeared as well. I know that the water is in there somewhere, but after 20 seconds, you can't even tell that there was ever water there. I've seen reviews for similar coasters saying that the water just rolls right off of them. Even though these coasters may look similar to those coasters, they are not the same. These things are the real deal. They look nice, have a cork bottom to protect your tables from scratches, and they really do absorb water!

I think they are very pretty. I am using them under candles so wax doesn't spoil my wood table tops. I haven't used them as a coaster for a drink I am not sure the wet glass would not run off the coaster, They are so flat.

Product: I like them! They are really exactly what I wanted. The colors are awesome, they look very nice on my black/espresso/white kitchen and living room furniture. Just the right amount of color and design. If there were things like a matching spoon holder, trivet, etc. I would get those as well! I am suggesting you buy these.Shipping:I did get one that was cracked, which sucks because they are truly nice looking, so only taking one star. Otherwise this is a 5 star product. I will note that each one came individually bubble wrapped in a box with more pillow packing, so I am not sure why there was a broken one but there was.If you are reading this, I would order it. The odds of you also getting a broken one are low with this much packing. Someone must have chucked it against the wall or something hard for that to happen, I dunno.

These coasters do the job and look great doing it! Well made and solid. Absorbent but easy to wipe clean ceramic. The design on the coasters is vibrant and lovely. Matches perfectly with my decor and adds a pop of color! My favorite coasters I purchased to date. Affordable too! I recommend them for a unique look in any home or on any patio.

I purchased these coasters in Nov. before Thanksgiving as my previous coasters were completely beat up and had family visiting over the Holiday. I absolutely adore the mixed array of colors in each coaster! Each coaster is vibrant in color, yet blends in well with almost any color pallet one has in a room where used. I've only had these coasters for 2 months as I write this review, but so far they are holding up well after daily use. I typically do place a napkin on top of the coaster when using a glass full of ice to absorb the "sweat" out of habit. However, I don't think its needed for these coasters as they seem to withstand normal "sweat" just fine. I have a gloss type wood coffee table and the cork backing on these coasters do not slip or slide unless one actually pushes the coaster to move.

These came exactly as pictured. They don't stain like other coasters I've bought and I'll be buying more as gifts when they come back in stock.

I bought these to replace an old leather coaster. I'm happy with the quality of the paint which adds a splash of colour to the table. The ceramic and the cork seem durable so I expect the coasters to last a long time. I haven't had them long enough to test if they absorb moisture or not. It should be easy to wipe them clean.

The coasters are very nice , but only giving it a 3 star rating because they are not the size advertised. They are not 4 inch , they are smaller ( 3.75 )

The colors are vibrant. The size is great! Big to fit my big coffee mugs. I always have a problem with finding good size coasters and the design of the mandalas are gorgeous. The quality is amazing. solid stone with cork backing so won't scratch my surfaces. Just what I needed. love them!

I was surprised at the weight of these. Beautiful and excellent quality.
