Love the books we have from these authors. Love the advent calendar at back too, lovely idea which brings the book even more to life. My LG loves the book.

Lovely Christmas story with the addition of a calendar at the back. My boys have loved taking it in turns to open it.

Bear has a fantastic surprise for the all the animals of the wood – an advent treasure hunt, with something new to discover each day on the run up to Christmas.But some of the gifts they find as they go seem a bit strange to say the least. Why would anyone want fake ears or a tea towel? Each day Mouse hopes that it might be his turn this time but each day he is disappointed and feels as though he has been forgotten altogether. As the treasure hunt progresses the clues begin to come together until it all makes sense on the last day as Bear uncovers his final surprise and Mouse discovers that, far from being forgotten, he is a very special part of the surprise.As well as the beautifully full illustrations and gorgeous rhyming story, this book has an added bonus surprise with an advent calendar tucked away inside the back cover.

I read this to my 5 year old and we both loved it!My 5 year old is now mostly into longer chapter books for her bedtime stories, but she didn’t feel that this was dumbing down in any way. She was engaged and engrossed throughout.The book has rhyming verse and exciting pictures showing the animals’ emotions as they get chosen to receive the given day’s Christmas present. Some gifts are exciting and well received (crowns) others (straw and pieces of cloth) result in grumpy recipients! All ends in a wonderful, surprise nativity scene, using every present, with the once grumpy animals thrilled with scene that results in them wearing all of their presents at the same time!Did I mention that there is a beautifully illustrated advent calendar (with flaps) inside the back cover?!This book is amazing!

Adorable book. Great pictures and my 3 year old loves that it is interactive. He has memorized it and “reads” it to me. Highly Recommend.

Cute book and cute illustration, however the book arrived damaged. Very frustrating.
