Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone - Gryffindor Edition (Relie)

Beautiful edition of the book. Colors are stunning and the pictures full of detail on the cover and inside the book. The extra Gryffindor information inside is fun. There is even a fun quiz to challenge the best HP fans. As an American, it is also fun to read the original UK published version of the book.

Got this as a gift for my wife and she loves it. A very nice quality book that looks great in this Gryffindor Edition. She had been wanting a copy of "Philosopher's" Stone for quite some time and then her copy of Sorcerer's Stone got damaged, so being able to get this in such a unique format was icing on the cake. If you love Harry Potter or are shopping for someone who does, this makes a great addition to any collection.

Every time I think I'm done buying Harry Potter books, they come out with another version that I want. These are high quality and have new material in them. Plus, it is the British version (not the Americanized ones). There is some new material before and after the story.

The product arrives in superb condition and surpassed my expectations. Much better in person than the picture shows. A rare case indeed. Both the look and the feel of the book are excellent and the price is solid. A must have for any Gryffindor or a ideal gift for anyone who knows a Gryffindor but doesn’t know what to get them.

It arrived before the expected time, on good conditions. Regarding the book itself, I just wished I hadn't watch the movies as a child (don't get me wrong, I truly enjoy the films) but reading this series without knowing how everything goes must have been a-m-a-z-i-n-g. Very entertaining. Also, I'm glad I bought this edition; I really liked the additional material about the houses and the questions and answers at the end.

As a huge Harry Potter fan I absolutely love this 20th anniversary edition of The Philosopher’s Stone. Not only is it the story that I love but there are details about the Gryffindor House such as information about who the founder is, the house ghost, notable Gryffindors and there are beautiful illustrations. All in all this is an awesome book

I had heard about the UK version to the first book in the Harry Potter series and was curious about it. I definitely enjoyed it and despite reading the US version I didn't have the feeling of "Oh, I have read this already so why bother". There were enough differences between the two versions to keep me going. Was the story familiar, yes, but it has been long enough since I read the US version that it didn't feel like I just finished reading this. I do recommend reading this version even if you have read the US version.

I don't really intend on reading this because I have the entire set and I want to keep this one as more of a collection piece than anything (plus it matches my decor). With that being said, I love the look and the feel of this book. And though others have complained abou the pages, I feel that they reflect a certain old world charm of what I imagine books of long ago may have been like. I can't wait to get the whole set...and the Hufflepuff set too (I've somehow managed to be both Gryffindor and Hufflepuff per Pottermore sorting...I'll fully accept this as being akin to me being on the Taurus/Gemini cusp)!

Gift for myself.

I order the paperback and honestly is beautiful! The red is such an eye-catcher and the actual Gryffindor symbol gorgeous. It looks great and I honestly would recommend it over the Hardcover. Of course the Hardcover would be a great collectible but in the end from what I have read it isn't that great where as the paperback is very good looking and something I would definitely get as a gift or for collecting. The only downside is that the red coloring on the sides of the pages must have slightly ran into the pages as it is pretty viable but nothing to really complain about and it surely does not influence how beautiful this book really is. 5 stars and I would recommend it to all Potterheads! Ich würde es eher empfehlen anstatt das Hardcover. Obwohl das Hardcover für Sammler die bessere wahl ist finde ich dass das Paperback einfach besser ausseht und praktischer ist. Das einzige nachteil ist das die Rote farbe in das papier etwas eingelaufen ist doch das stört eigenlich garnicht. Also auf Jeden Fall 5 Sterne!

I purchased this for a University unit I later had to withdraw from, but a great investment. Perfect for when the nieces, nephews, grandchildren or your own children can read, including yourself

Well, just look at the title of the book, the edition, the aspect... it says it all. I suppose there isn't a person left on this planet who does not know who Harry Potter is. This novel is, of course, the reprinting of the first in the series, with a special anniversary presentation. I have been a great fan since the publication of this first opus, now over 20 years ago. My eldest son, then 6, learnt how to read purposely so he could devour the series!

Me gusto la calidad del libro, me gustaría que vinieran con un separador referente a la historia, pero en general si me gusto, me ayuda a leer fluido el ingles.
