Then take out of the heat and mix in 30 grams of the flakes. When cooled down, add one table spoon of sodium bicarbonate mixed with a tiny bit of water and 15-20 drops of essential oils. That makes almost two liters of the mix. It takes me around 3 weeks to go through both bottles. This is a 900 grams pack so you have plenty of time until it runs out! **Q: Is marseille soap suitable to wash neoprene, such as wetsuits made of neoprene?** A: I would have thought so - I’ll be washing my wetsuit with it as I don’t use any other soap for my laundry. It’s very gentle so I would be surprised if it was a bad idea. **Q: Once I have dissolved the 50g of soap into the 2 litres of water, how long will the mixture last? I know that when water is present bacteria thrive.** A: Can’t say for sure but I do 6L myself and I have been keeping it a few month. It is quite pricey but then so are most non-fragranced products and it feels like good quality. And what's here should go a long way. The instructions are clear and I quite enjoyed mixing the flakes into the bottle. I need to remember next time to let it cool a bit first as I melted my bottle! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very oily *by L***E on 17 July 2019* The first thing I noticed was the smell. It really is an acquired taste and if you might find that you need to disguise it somehow. It is difficult to describe but reminds me of a garage or workshop that has been cleaned with disinfectant. It is very strong.The soap is very oily which has been a bonus for me. I used it to make homemade laundry powder, mixing it up in the blender with borax substitute and soda crystals. The result was amazing, my clothes are super clean and so soft that I don’t need softener even though I am in a hard water area . Also the smell disappears once they are out of the washer.I have used the soap to make a washing up liquid with less success because of the high oil content. It left an oily film on the dishes but my hands felt really nice afterwards. You can really see the oil floating from this soap.As a vegan, I liked this brand because it isn’t tested on animals and uses plant oils. The paper bag has a plastic liner but it looks like it will be easy to pull out when I come to sort it for recycling.The soap is clumpy and if you want a powder you will have to put it in the food processor.
