I feel better having this on hand in case of an emergency. Very small, works great!

This is smaller than what I expected. We previously had an emergency radio but it was twice this size. But, that larger one did not have all the bells and whistles that this one has such as, solar powering of the device and the ability to charge something else. I have tested all of the radio's bands and they work fine. I even live in an almost dead zone and was able to get a couple stations. I will take this with me into town today and test the other stations. The flashlight works as described and the siren (if you hold the button down for a few seconds) is loud. I received this and charged it to 100%. I have charged my watch using the USB out and that works. Later when I run the battery down to about 50% I will test the solar charging and also see if I can get the hand crank to charge it. I like this little radio.

I got this radio for inclusion in my emergency "bug-out" bag in case of natural or unnatural disaster. It could definitely be a lifesaver. It can also work well when going camping. The handcrank will definitely give you a bit of a workout if you can't charge it any other way. Fortunately it only takes a couple minutes to make it functional for a short time. It can also be charged by USB or solar which is great since you can't really replace the batttery without taking the whole thing apart. The emergency siren and flashing light is surprisingly loud and bright respectively. The weather radio is a must have in my opinion, even if you no longer live in tornado alley. It can help you stay on top of the weather. And once you're safe, it will play your favorite radio station!
