This is a quality smasher!
This is perfect. So sturdy and a good size. This is heavy and great for smashing. I was looking for the best anniversary gift for our iron anniversary and this takes the cake! My husband was SO excited to receive this! Hoping to use without the paper so we don't need to buy more when they run out.

Excellent smasher for burgers!
It’s heavy which is great for making patties and flattening out bacon. The surface is solid instead of hollow. The hollow ones don’t make a good Smashburger because it makes patty shapes but it can’t smash them all the way down. This seems like it will last for years. Also, it has a very simple wooden handle. If it ever breaks, I can make one out of a dowel rod. I think this is a very good product with a reasonable price. It made awesome patty melts.

I never eat burgers at home until my husband bought this! I love my burgers flat and crispy!! Its made really good! Definitely worth the money! Use a cast iron pan to make my burgers which help. I like the look of it and Thickeness of the handle is really nice. And it doesnt get real hot to touch as far as handle

Quality cast iron press
Nice and heavy cast iron. Needs to be seasoned prior to use. Don’t leave outside, it may rust. Handle seems a little loose or flimsy, but otherwise very good for the price

BEST SMASH BURGER PRESS on the market
I am writing this review MONTHS after I bought it and I'm coming back to say I have been extremely impressed with the quality of this press. First of all, the packaging it comes in makes me feel like a VIP customer. Secondly, the overall visual, tone, and quality of this press is amazing too. I have had this for close to a year now and there has been no rusting yet. With simple cast iron care and easy cleaning this thing should last a VERY long time. When getting it all you have to do is season it with some oil and makes sure you aren't scrubbing the seasoning off when you clean it. Lastly, I am impressed with the handle too, I have not been burned once, and I have been addicted to making smash burgers bi/tri-weekly. The heat retention is good to; the handle stays cold while the press gets hot enough to where the patty doesn't stick. And the sizing of the patties you can make is totally up to your desire because of how big the press is.

GAMECHANGER
10 stars!! This tool is a game changer for making burgers. I was completely unprepared for how awesome a burger could taste using this smasher. Full disclosure, I'm not the biggest burger fan, but the smashburger I make with this is unbelievable and leaves me wanting more. Here's what we do: 1. Use a cast iron skillet - 375 deg on a Nu Wave inductive cook top 2. Drop 1/2 cup of 85% ground beef - mine is right out of the measuring cup 3. Smash until the meat until it's slightly smaller than the smasher - paper between smasher and meat 4. Remove smasher and paper 5. Cook until you see the top changing color - I go about 20-30 seconds past that 6. Use a metal spatula and work meat free from the skillet - I go around all sides 7. Flip and press down with spatula 8. The cooked side should look crusty 9. Cook until other side is done - it will not probably not get crusty 10. Remove and place on paper towel - add cheese if desired Bun: 1. butter and sprinkle with garlic powder 2. Brown on a different skillet Burger: 1. I make my own fry sauce (AKA Cains sauce) and use this - it's the only sauce on the burger 2. Add sauteed onions, Jalapenos, sauteed mushrooms, etc This is amazing and the quality of the tool is awesome - cast iron and I expect it to last many lifetimes! Enjoy!!
