Amazing little spinning reel
Bought this reel in 500 size when I came across it while looking for a couple spinning reels. I usually stay under the $100 mark for spinning reels and I was like what the heck , it’s $16. I’m always looking for items that are overachievers for the price . Well I will say that the reviews don’t lie. This is one reel that punches way above its price. I’ve only fished it 4 days and I’m impressed. Drag is smooth and it reels smooth and cast well. I put 4lb test on it and used for crappie. I purposely used it more than my better reels just to see how it did. It’s only 4 times but it worked a lot of fish and there’s absolutely nothing to complain about, especially for the price.time will tell, but, I wouldn’t hesitate to give it a try. For the money I don’t see how you could ever go wrong.

Perfect for panfishing!
By far one of my favorite reels for panfishing, mainly crappie and has no problem bring in trout and bass, its extremely smooth and let's be honest spinning reels are some of the simplest and easiest to use making it a nice reel, one of the things I love most about this reel is the drag! I usually have it setup somewhat on the looser side so as not to break my 4lb test or just simply have a bait suspended and when drag is being pulled it gives off the nicest ping bell if that makes sense, enjoy this reel so much i bought 2 more

For the price point, quite a decent spinning reel
This review is for both the 3000 & 4000 series Handing M1 Spinning reels (black and gray colors) These are some of the most inexpensive spinning reels I've seen, so I ordered the 3000 and 4000 sizes to find out if they're decent quality. Generally, at this price point, all you can really expect is complete junk. That's been my experience at sporting goods and big-box stores, such as Walmart. Enter in these "Handing" reels. I couldn't believe the price on them...$16 or so for a graphite-framed, 9+1 bearing spinning reel. A couple observations after un-boxing and taking the drag knob off. These reels are relatively heavy for their size, and the 4000 size is quite a monster, probably more appropriate for deep-water larger gamefish, such as salmon. The 3000 still runs on the heavier/larger size compared to other "3000" size reels I own, but it should be ok for all-around freshwater...bass, trout, walleye, pike, carp, you name it. Secondly, the main shaft was neither greased nor oiled, so I added some light-weight Trinity Royal bearing oil to the bottom of the shaft. I've found this to be the case on more expensive reels as well...best bet is to remove the drag knob and add a few drops of bearing oil to the main shaft, as well as the round areas where the bail opens and closes. After oiling, these reels did run somewhat smoother. Usually what separates the "junk" reels from the decent ones...the drag adjustment mechanics. Imprecise drag, where a couple clicks can substantially tighten your drag resulting in broken lines, is something characteristic of cheap reels. The drag adjustment on these Handing reels was surprisingly precise...each click seems to gradually and evenly tighten or loosen the drag, which is generally something I don't see in reels priced below $50. Look and feel seem fine otherwise. Time will tell if they hold up...for $15 even if they only last a season, that's still not a bad deal. I'd rather not have to dispose of a product like a spinning reel but at that price point you really can't go terribly wrong. Give these Handing reels a try...you'll be quite surprised at how well they work and the quality level is decent.

2000 series is bigger than what I expected
Feels good in my hand I should of got the 500 series the 2000 kind of big for pan fishing I’ll keep it and order the smaller reel might need some type of lubricant to smooth it out but all in all not a bad reel for this price

Perfect for an Ultralight setup
For the price the reel feels high quality out of the box. The size 500 is perfect for a 6’ ultralight set up. Super comfortable and feels nice. The drag is plenty strong, I’ve landed multiple trout and salmon. The bail closes and opens smoothly. Seems like it’ll hold up but only time will tell.

Best Cheap Reel
IF LOOKING FOR A CHEAP REEL THIS IS IT! HERE READ WHY. Comparing this to a Shimano sienna FG it’s quality feels a lot better but it is a bit heavy. I have used the carbon X spinning reel before which is another amazon reel, it feels a lot like the carbon x. I will say the spool size a bit bigger than a normal 500 size. I put about 150ish of 7lbs Sniper FC fluorocarbon. Also the drag is better decent for its price money well spent on this.

Solid, quality reel
Affordable lite reel that is just as good as major branded reels. We got the ultra lite version for $26.00. The quality is no worse than our branded reels and the performance (size, weight, smoothness, sound) are very good. Very lightweight. We have lots of equipment of all kinds and this is as good as Daiwa, Penn, Shimano, Okuma, etc.
