I love Max Lucado and this is the perfect book to explain to little ones how everyone is special and how important it is to love those who are different from us.

This book should be read by everyone- children and adults. Max Lucado perfectly explains so well the father's love. I give this to every new parent I know.

I have purchased this book 4x over as gifts. I stick one in every baby shower gift. Special book that left impact on me as a child.

I love this book! It has a message of not letting others judge you and that you are loved just as you are . I read this years ago to my students and it is still relevant today. It helped them to treat each other equally and include all peers in their activities.

I'm familiar with Pastor Max Lucado, and although I've explored many of his adult books, discovering his children's books for the first time was a heartfelt experience. This book, in particular, touched my heart and brought me joy.

I love this book. My grown 30-year-old daughter looked through our bookcase of many childhood books while visiting at Christmas and wondered why we did not have a certain one that she could not remember the name of. I used the clues she gave me and found this book and mailed it to her after the holidays. She was delighted and told me that of all the books read to her during story time at school, this was her favorite. This is a beautiful story!

Love this book and its message. It was given to my son, and I bought a copy for my niece. Both love it. My 2 year old thought the pictures were scary, though. (The wooden people look creepy to a toddler, I suppose.) I still would absolutely recommend it.
