Scholarly and provocative
This book is not an easy read, although there are good clear transcriptions of Greek passages quoted. The argument, especially in the introductory chapter is dense but repays effort. One feels always on the edge of new insight into Homer, Greek tragedy and myth, whilst knowing that this is an important book across many disciplines and the new cross-discipline around 'embodiment' and 'affect'. This is not for the novice - although just as a reader of Greek literature, it enthralled me.
