Got this to switch out the PWM that came in our new 2025 5th wheel.Instant upgrade of 18% efficiency. Coupled with a pair of lipho batteries and an inverter, saved thousands over dealer cost.

As an MPPT charge controller this works very well. I'm upgrading my 30-watt panels to 100-watt panels. Before upgrading I used the 30-watt panels and got way more power compared to my old pwm controller.I really like that this unit was sold with the bluetooth attachment and the temperature probe. Using the phone app to connect via bluetooth is very easy. Finding good instructions was impossible and I had to learn by trial and error. It isn't clear that some setting can be changed via the app, such as battery type. When I check the device the setting for LI wasn't set, even though that is what I set using the app. The screen and the controls are pretty basic but once it is up and running the phone app is all you need. I would love to have more features, but this is a very good value for the money.

Very good controller. I have a 12V battery system but use 4 solar panels in series/parallel combination. They output is about 40 Volts. Controller does very good job and has a high efficiency. I like the Blue Tooth module that allows to view all parameters of the charging and also makes it easy to control various settings. Highly recommended.

Make sure to ask questions to the manufacturer questions to correctly determine the best solution for you, that way you’re not purchasing the incorrect wattage and controller, easy to follow installation instructions stable voltages and quick battery charging

I charge 4x100AH deep cycles with one of these connected to 4x100 PV's.It powers my barn, I run a bunch of network gear. Access points, cameras etc.The bluetooth adapter and app isn't useful. You have to be standing in-front of it to use it. Every day or so.The PC cable and SW also is not useful, to me, as I'd have to leave a computer connected permanently, which would be using up all the power the charger provided, so I could monitor the charger. So, again, not useful.Buy this device because it is a good charger, treat the apps as a curiosity.However, if you're a "maker" then be aware this charger has a modbus interface and comes with a USB cable.You can plug it into a rapsberry pi and write your own code to monitor it, store, analyze, do whatever you want.See my picture... this is an rpi zero, epaper, picking up live solar data from my barn 900 feet away, from the comfort of my office.

This was the 3rd Renogy system I’ve installed on RVs. Installation was very simple, almost plug-n-play. The first install I did 4 years ago had terrible instructions, but the new manuals are fantastic.

Update on my renogy charge controller. They are refusing to ship a replacement Charge Controller to the only address I have, a po box address even though I was told by customer service they would. I sent back the controller a month ago and have been arguing with them for ten days to have it shipped as promised. Their controller is junk and service is worse than their products. I'm going to file a claim with my bank and buy another controller from different company. I'll never buy another renogy product again! I wondered why they have so many complaint, unfortunately I didn't look at their reviews until now.. Do yourself a favor, don't buy Renogy products!!!They Renogy Rover 40A Soler Charge Controller. I bought mine in July 2023, stopped working in November. Sent it back for warranty inspection took 17 days for inspection, agreed to replace but will not send to anything but a physical street address. Am a full time RVer live in a remote area almost 100 miles to receive UPS or FedEx "hold for pickup", as compared to a local USPS Post office four miles away from camp! Am at an impasse with Renogy for a replacement, waiting to see if Renogy will refund instead. In the meantime I purchased a JNN SOLAR CHARGE CONTROLLER 20A for $20 while waiting for "Renogy customer non-service" and it works fine! For $20 I could have bought eight JNN controllers without the headache, if a JNN stops working throw it away and buy a replacement. Renogy has been a big HEADACHE trying to get service or replacement, still waiting after 17 days and counting!!! 🤦🤦🤦 NEVER AGAIN!

No problems yet. Had over a year now. Gonna upgrade to the new 60A one so I can connect 2 of them.
