When I need some help as an older lady (usually when I have bronchitis cough and can't prevent some leakage), I have started to turn to special underpants. I thought these would be a good idea for boosted protection on rough days. However, they basically cover and block the underpants built-in protection (not really "boost" it), so I can't figure out why I wouldn't just spend the similar money on more protective underpants instead of these booster pads that seem to shift and create more chances of seeping past the seal of the basic underpants.

This is probably going to be the oddest review on this page but, bear with me - I did in fact “really” try them, with a guesstimated amount of about ~1.5 cups of liquid. Although I did so in a controlled environment, I am pleased to say I feel confident that my modesty would remain intact if I had been “out and about.”I think this is a great option to increase the capacity of your average pull-up, perfect for those with really large bladders or perhaps for situations where you might need to…go…more than once between changes.Now for the REAL reason I ordered these - they’re for my kitchen, not my bathroom.We lost my father-in-law a few years ago and part of his legacy to us (so to speak) was a large number of medical items that he no longer required. These pads are quite long, they could be a few inches longer but if you don't need that coverage it's fine. They're also quite narrow but will fit between legs okay. They're very absorbent and help odors in check. I do think if you regularly need these, the cost is a bit high.I will say as pros, they're comfortable, they're soft against the skin and don't feel itchy. They're thick but you don't feel like you're sitting on a towel. I do think the concept of them being a booster is quite strange because they block anything absorbent under them. I think they'd be best used as a first line of defense you can throw away without changing your clothes entirely.
