Decent functionality and just like new!
These arrived packaged just like new complete with all the peel stickers.Installation was straight forward and the functionality is decent. Night vision is decent and best part is that they are wireless. I already had ring video doorbell on a subscription, these were just to cover the back and sides of the house which are blind spots. Motion detection is actually faster than the ring (getting the notification on the phone) but is slower when you click in the app to watch a live notification….always takes a good few seconds buffering but overall not bad.It was a bargain when I got it as refurbished so can’t complain.I enjoyed the one months free recording but not willing to add a second subscription to get recordings.I would have liked it better if I could have recordings to some memory card but overall still happy for my purposes and at the price. I will recommend it.

Very impressed compared to my Ring cameras!
Really impressed with these Blink cameras! My existing home security setup is through Ring, which is great for capturing people, but not very responsive at picking up any wildlife. I wanted a camera to watch the hedgehog that comes in our garden every night and the Blink cameras have done an amazing job.Camera is very responsive and we never miss any action. Video quality is great and battery life blows Ring out of the water. I would have had to have charged Ring 3 times by now and Blink still has plenty of juice left.Video quality is great, especially at night as our garden is pitch black with absolutely no light. The app is easy to use for playback. Settings within the app let you set automatic schedules, choose how long to record and how frequently to look for motion. Sensitivity setting worked great and gave me the perfect balance of always picking up our hedgehog friend, without being triggered by a fly or raindrops.Setup was fiddly as the sync module struggled to connect to WiFi, but after several failed attempts and doing nothing different, it finally worked. Adding the camera was then very simple. Just note that if putting the camera outside, it needs to have its own suitable connection to the WiFi and not just a good connection to the synch module. I personally have to use a WiFi extender to push signal to my garden, but always have, it's not just these cameras struggling to find signal. One thing that surprised me is that you can only have one account linked to the cameras. With Ring you can set up multiple profiles for different people in your household and grant them access to different cameras. With Blink it goes against all modern security advice and actually tells you to just log in with your own details on other people's phones. Bit of an unusual setup but it works as long as they don't mess with your settings.Overall though, very impressed and even more so because of the fantastic refurb price! Highly recommended!

Great, but
I don't usually write reviews on products but I thought I should do this time. The Blink Outdoor camera is actually brilliant. The quality of the picture is superb and the resolution is not even set on maximum to save battery life.It has good motion detection and the subscription in my view is a tiny bit expensive £8 a month but to get my moneys worth I bought two outdoor cameras for front and back garden and the Blink Video doorbell. So the £8 a month allows me to have all of my blink devices included in the subscription otherwise each device would cost £2.50 each per month. So far I have had a mixed experience in terms of setup and usage.First day after installation. I noticed that the front camera was struggling because of typical British weather the rain was all over the lens and it was totally blocking out any motion detection and the live feed was just a smudge. So I had to purchase the little silicone house looking covers for them and I can't say how they've turned out yet as I'm waiting for it to rain again to test it which I'm sure won't take long.Secondly I also noticed that the UK is particularly cold as we know and where I live the temperatures can get pretty cold quickly being so high up. So the temperature alert on the camera does come on a few times. I had thought the little silicone housing would have provided a little relief but I guess it didn't.Please also note that these cameras from what I can tell according to Google search they are IP65 so they are water resistant but not actually waterproof and snow/ice proof. For cameras of this quality and price I would have expected them to have IP66/67 by default as they are outdoor. It should be mandatory and I was surprised to learn they aren't.(But since buying the Silicone waterproof house covers I hope this will be enough to provide them with some additional shielding)I have been struggling intermittently with WiFi connectivity from the router to the Sync module which baffled me as the router and module were only separated say roughly 3-4meters. So I bought a WiFi repeater. The sync module shows full green bars connected to my router. However during some periods of the day I'm am encountering difficulties in the front camera connecting to the module to provide me with a live feed. The time it takes to load is so long anyone could have nicked ya garden ornaments and run away long before it would have connected. But I am feeling there maybe a correlation between the lower temperatures and the WiFi signal seem to make them struggle to connect. So my take away on this is that if you have a VERY decent WiFi speed you will likely encounter very few problems compared to me. If you are still around 35Mbps broadband expect some occasional challenges. But also if you are wanting to save a few extra pounds when installing these outdoor cameras try to find a pre-existing shelter for them such as a porch or a under a gutter as opposed to being fully exposed to the elements. But also be smart in terms of your router distance to the sync module and then test the signal of your cameras before finally positioning them. But overall I am still pleased with my cameras as the weather improves I can do more diagnostics and tweak positioning if required or contact customer support for assistance.Sorry this review is long but I wanted to provide everyone with an In depth review so they can avoid mistakes and experiences like I've had.

Utterly useless at night
Pretty useless piece of kit if you want to monitor nighttime activity. Daytime picture seemed fine, but, no matter how much I tinker with settings, the night image is weirdly cloudy and very blurred and lacking anything in detail at all. I mean it's terrible. My Blink doorbell has a much better night image. Also a warning was coming up about high usage which will impact battery life and I was only testing it, nothing too strenuous at all, which doesn't fill me with confidence about how long the batteries will last. Also it seemed to miss a lot of movement with delays in starting a recording. There is a newer version in the US (Blink Outdoor camera 4) that strangely is not available here in the UK; but that product appears to be a clear step up over this one. It's a shame, as I really wanted to have this outdoor camera to seemlessly work on the same app as my doorbell camera and able to save videos to the sync 2 module, but I'll be forced to go looking for an alternative camera with better performance at night which will mean another make of product and yet another app on my phone.
