Charges fast even with a very complex battery
My battery box for my Pride Mobility Elite Traveler is custom made with eight LiFePo4 batteries stuffed into every nook and cranny of a large battery case. In there is: two 36AH, two 10 AH, two 7AH and two 3.3AH 12 Volt batteries. This gives me 56.3AH total battery capacity with a working range of about 12 miles. My stock charger that came with the scooter sometimes gets fooled charging this battery. What I think happens is one set of batteries reaches full charge and goes into a high impedance state (because they're LiFePo4 instead of lead acid and have built-in Battery Management circuitry) and the current suddenly changes which causes the charger to blink with an error condition rather than continue charging the rest of the batteries. This unit isn't like that. I haven't seen that happen and it fully charges all batteries before the light changes color. Also it charges about six times faster than the run time, allowing me to make a long 12 mile ride and then once I reach my destination, recharge using this charger for about two hours and then I'm ready to make the 12 mile trip back home again. With my stock charger I'd have to charge it for eight hours and it's just not practical, especially if it could error out during the recharge. It's also smaller than my stock charger with less cabling and fits better in the bag built into the back of the seat. It also weighs less. My only complaint is the charge indicator/power light isn't very bright and I can't see it if I'm using it to charge my battery outside the house.Update: It died after about five months. To be fair, I plugged it in incorrectly- i.e. I plugged it into the battery before I plugged it into the wall. Every other time, I plugged it into the wall first. I used to repair switching power supplies so I took it apart to see if I could fix it but found no burnt components, blown fuses or MOVs, opens or shorts. It appears to have brain problems, incorrectly shutting it off due to some error condition that doesn't exist.

Small but mighty!
This thing is small but mighty!! It’s charging better and faster than my previous charger did before it blew up on new years morning. I’m absolutely estatic happy my batteries are still able to be revived from sitting at 14% for over a week in mear min ( while on because too dead to do off. Believe it needed to be on as a way to jump start dying battery cells by this point ) as opposed to several hours from the previous charger. 100% get it. I’ll still continue to use this even after my replacement changer is in from warranty.

Does the Job!
Purchase this as a backup charger for a Permobil C300, but will work well to charge any battery of this capacity and connection. IT IS LOUD – I didn't fully understand what this meant when reading other reviews, as the original charger which came with the C 300 was silent – while this device is 75% smaller than the original charger, it contains a cooling fan which is on at all times when the unit is plugged in. It's not allowed in the sense that one needs to "speak up" to be heard, but it does make noise. I would liken it to a very loud computer/laptop cooling fan. It's white noise, so it's not terribly interruptive, but it will be audible in any size room. This is not the original charger, and thus, the C 300 will the drivable while plugged in and charging, unlike the original which disables motor function. The smaller form factor makes it more reasonable for travel, but the fan noise makes it less-than-perfect.
