My senior dog has a number of medical issues, including liver, heart, kidney and dental disease. His diet is severely restricted because of these, and he was steadily losing weight. He could no longer eat kibble, and had no interest in the special or prescription diets suggested by his vets. I added small amouts of the gel on his food, and he gradually became more interested in eating. He's slowly regaining weight and acts as though he's feeling better. My senior baby had dropped way too low in weight, multiple vet visits later she has a completely clean bill of health. She was never found driven, or really even concerned, but as she grew older this led to her getting way too skinny and frail. She would eat anything I put in front of her, just not enough and not consistently in order to maintain weight.
