I had to keep turning the very exciting pages because the story covered ancient history over such a broad range of territories!Compelling education and entertainment!

Another brilliant read from Falconer, I have read all the big names ( Scarrow, Kane, Cornwell) and Falconers right up there ( if not in front- by a nose) what I love about Falconer is that he takes a punt on lesser know historical periods ( Fever coast, Fury, Lord of the Atlas ) etc no just the tired Roman, viking ,Napoleonic periods .His knowledge and the ability to unfold history and the settings in your mind is priceless.If u haven't read one of his books and your into historical fiction your missing a treat.

I found this book engrossing and couldn't wait to see what happened next. There was certainly plenty of action and disasters for the soldiers.

Loved this book great characters and all in all an enjoyable story. I can not recommend this book enough and now on to the next one

Ends of the Earth took me on a fantastic trip into the ancient world. I could feel the cold, taste the sea, and smell the stink of the cities. I cannot imagine the overwhelming amount of research that went into writing this book. Thank you, Mr. Falconer. You gave me several hours of education and entertainment.

Ri eting and realistic.Full of raw emtion and very human nobility as well as deprivation. Arelistic narration of the times and experiences of a right-thinking, well-born Roman during Julius Caesar's lifetime. An absorbing read, strongly recommended.

Another intriguing read by Colin - detail, emotion and atmosphere in this one. Colin just doesn’t write bad books! The Roman Empire at its best and worst with real heroes and villians, too….can’t wait for the next one.

I loved this take as it was based (at least in part) on fact. And had several interesting story lines in one encompassing story.
