These Le Creuset Noel Mini Cocottes are truly gorgeous: classic Le Creuset pieces that are perfect for baking french onion soup, or baking/reheating/serving soups, stews, chili etc. ...and the embossing on the lids and the use of a Star for the knob makes this Noel collection perfect (and not only for Christmas: I plan to use mine all from late fall through Januart at least: the Christmas design is subtle enough to also be perfect for "starry night" or other winter's eve meals (especially New Years ;). I already had one green ("artichaut" color) mini-cocotte and they cannot be found anywhere now, but I picked up 2 red and 2 white here on Amazon because the price is fair. Get them while you can.

It's cute. The box it came in was not very secure, however, it arrived in one piece. I noticed that it cost nearly twice as much as other Le Creuset Mini Cocotte 24 oz models. I thought it was mainly because of the star knob. But, it's not even a separate knob, it's just baked onto the lid and painted gold. I'll keep it for now but if it drops significantly in price for Black Friday, I'm going to be upset.

Mine arrived with one handle broken the puzzling thing was, the broken piece was not even in the box. Now there's INTENT to ship a broken piece. I was broken hearted coz I love the item and I was so looking forward to it.
