Review: I bought this book having really enjoyed 'Manual of Section'. I thought it would be worth it - and yes, I totally love the format, content and great choice of case studies. It also looks quite a bit thicker than the first book. This book is up-to-date, beautifully illustrated, and a good inspiration/resource for students, architects, enthusiasts, or somebody planning a build. Being split into chapters by construction type is extremely useful. Their are reminiscences of 'Graphic Anatomy' by Atelier Bow-Wow, but that's not a negative criticism... in fact, this book does a great job going beyond to show real photographs during and after construction to complete the whole picture. 100% recommend.

I bought this book having really enjoyed 'Manual of Section'. I thought it would be worth it - and yes, I totally love the format, content and great choice of case studies. It also looks quite a bit thicker than the first book. This book is up-to-date, beautifully illustrated, and a good inspiration/resource for students, architects, enthusiasts, or somebody planning a build. Being split into chapters by construction type is extremely useful. Their are reminiscences of 'Graphic Anatomy' by Atelier Bow-Wow, but that's not a negative criticism... in fact, this book does a great job going beyond to show real photographs during and after construction to complete the whole picture. 100% recommend.
