Don’t let digital only be the future. Buy physical discs to guarantee ownership and access to games you actually own, not just ones that you have a “licence” for. Yes it’s annoying Sony don’t sell the consoles with these included, but they pay for themselves quickly due to inflated prices on the PSN store for pretty much all downloadable games, especially new releases. They keep the prices high for years too for major releases which is plain greed. Discs get discounted quickly though so it’s much easier to pick up a bargain game that way. The PS5 disc drive is also a blu ray player, so you can watch movies and TV shows too. An essential peripheral overall. Over time, the more disc games you buy, the more money you save (verses downloading games on PSN store).

A disk drive for those who have disks but no drive.
Not sure how to best review this mate. Do you own a PS5 without a disk drive but you have disks? Then...I recommend this disk drive. I have it, I use it to play disks that I would otherwise not be able to play without one. Its the only Playstation official one. If you have a PS5 without a disk drive and you have no disks at all. I would not recommend this disk drive. You're welcome.

A bit expensive as I saw it cheaper on different platforms....but of course was out of stock...soooo a bit guttered there. But the children say it's doing it's job...therefore besides a tad pricey....it works

PS5 CD Drive.
PS5 CD drive. Easy to fit, locally clips together with the base unit. You just need to remove the panel on the bottom, needs a little pull and it clips out. A lot of stores are sold out or don’t stock them, so best to pay a little bit extra here and get it without delay.

Easy to Install and Quiet
Easy to install and makes my PS5 Pro a disc console. Very quiet when playing a disc game too which was surprising compared to the normal PS5.

Expensive thanks to shortage of PS5 Slim Disc Drives. Packaging seal was broken but everything else seemd to be intact. Delivered before due date. Simple installation and works. PS5 games are cheaper majority of times in Aus compared to PS digital sales.
