The knives and cutters are sharp. I haven't had a chance to try out everything yet, but I've not been disappointed in the tools at all. The "custom handbag" however ... For a leatherworking kit, one might expect the carrying case that it is contained in would be made out of leather ... this is the cheapest vinyl/plastic feeling you can imagine with a faux suede-ish feeling material on the inside. However, when you attempt to fold it up, nothing stays in place.
